You were created for a purpose you see, you were a vessel, an empty shell that was supposed to Seal away yet another Higher being named "The radiance" unfortunately, you were imperfect, and so are your siblings, hence why you were all cast out or left to be consumed by the abyss, all exept for one, the "final boss", named "The Hollow knight" He contains the Radiance, but unfortunately, he too is imperfect, and soon enough, began to break due to the Radiance's influence, leaking an orange corruption that threatened to devour the dreams and minds of any and all who posseses the ability to think Thats where you come in You have 3 choices, Defeat the hollow knight and take his place Destroy the Radiance Or attune with the gods and Ascend, in turn, uniting the Abyss and achieving your birthright as god of the darkness

Im imagining that this is where you give elderbug the delicate flower and it makes it so much more sad because we were the first to show elderbug genuine gratitude and the delicate flower is placed on the knights grave thing Also im not one to cry over animations usually BUT IM CRYING UNCONTROLLABLY

Legitimately so sad, I've never really thought about the character arcs of hornet and ghost before and I've just realized how tragic they are. "I know what you are. I know what you'd try to do. I can't allow it" I think hornet tried to justify the murder of the previous vessel to herself by thinking that it was for the greater good. Hornet might've actually done it because she was scared to see her mother and sibling die. So she kills innocent bugs just to protect herself, in a process more cruel than letting the vessels end the hollow knight. Hornet has to learn to let go of her sibling and mother.

All this is so good and hits so hard! The Knight having enotions, crying, tearing up, panicking, and stressed out? It really adds character, and adds up to the fact that The Knight is probably just an ageless "child" who has stepped out of the place they had stayed for so long into an eniterely dark, scary World awaiting with dangers from all over. Imagine how frightening it must've been for them! But, it seems as the journey went on, they got more used to it, and by the time they battled Hornet, they were ready, and no longer afraid. And the shots of Hornet with what remains of Little Ghost (The Knight) and her actually in tears, really... You're animations/animatics are great, ever since I found your Mama's Boy Rain World animation. I was even surprised to find out it was you who made this.

I just realized how good it is having a “hollow” PC, it allows the the character to have no feelings other than the ones we give it, it allows us to feel more immersed in the story. It allows us to feel bad for the characters the PC does not. Anyways this had nothing to do with the video but thought id share it since i realized it while watching this. Amazing animation :)

Tip for hornet: wait for hornet to come to you, then dodge last minute. Take the time while she's close to attack. There are also certain attacks that are perfect for healing, like the silk orb attack or the yo-yo attack.
