Hi Pixel how are you ? another great review, from my point of view the MOTU ultimates line need full articulation on the ankles not only "up and down" this figure is good remake, the best for me, the Alfredo Alcala's Skeletor face. Ok another Skeletor, a lot of accesories, good, but the feet of kobra Khan ? don't get me wrong I love my vintage 80s line since I was a kid, I mean, why again ? 2017 need a refresh, something diferent like a "real Alfredo Alcalá's Skeletor" without that spikes in the forearms, the Alcalá's skeletor face with a full hood (like the filmation skeletor figure) with the feet like the mini comic version, how difficult can it be for people of the fourhorsemen ? they are amazing ! by the way the feet of the MOTU classics 200x King-Hiss without the flip flops looks exactly like those mini comic Skeletors feet and yes please extra color on the skull and the horns of the goat, and it would be extraordinary if they could place as extra accessory the "Pteruges" (the decorative skirt) not only forwards but also behind. Just a suggestion Pixel, to improve this amazing line ! maybe if you like the idea you can talk with the guys in Super 7, maybe they are reading this or maybe other people has the same point of view, please lisent to the fans! C ya !

Alejandro Guzman I highly doubt Super7 gives a crap about what true fans want and deserve for the bloated prices, He-Man's super-weak ankles (with more defects to come!). Super7 is just milking the franchise because when the 2019 movie is close to release, Mattel will take the rights back and stores will be flooded with MOTU figures, likely lots of re-releases based on the Classics line. I feel your pain, but #Super7 do not care, so I doubt they'll make any changes- just repacked, insanely overpriced, poorly made figures with 1-3 extra heads or weapons that Matty already did. Watch- I'll be 90% on the mark with my predictions. Buy knockoffs.

Great review Dan! It’s a bummer that Super7 didn't put the Ultimates line in re-sealable boxes. However, I did see a video here where someone cut out a flap in the underside of the blister packaging and pulled their figure out. At least it’s a way of keep the packaging looking like it’s MOC.

Nova T I saw it too- tried it on 2 figures, and as long as you're careful, you *can* pull the figure/mold out without doing much damage. And taking them out through the bottom helps for when you put them back in, as the cuts are at the bottom and likely unnoticeable on a shelf! Happy MOTU!

Great to see you back on theses reviews Dan. The only figures I bought doubles of were He-Man and Skeletor to keep carded. Wouldn't have, but since Super 7 dropped the ball on the packaging, I bought the additional two at BBTS.I know it's a mark up, but not as high as on Ebay. Had to get the Alcala swords,vintage Faker head, and Teela minicomics head out the packages for display. I LOVE THIS FIGURE.

Super 7's knocking themselves out making improvements on the 2008 releases as far as I'm concerned. I'm glad to see they're looking to do TV versions of the characters. Those are the ones I'm most interested in. Thanks, Dan!

My cardback is the same as yours. I feel like you're right, the havoc staff is playing a role in how its warping, but they're also incredibly tight in the mailers which isn't helping either.

Hmm, yeah. I definitely think that extra piece of the blister for the staff is "pulling" the cardback, in a sense, causing the warping.

I know it isn't really a new Keldor figure necessarily but I would've loved to see a side by side comparison of this Keldor look with the one from several years ago. Love the purple feet but not the scaly boots, but I love the option of a caped Skeletor. Had my fingers crossed for years now that maybe one day a 200x Skeletor will be made in Classics, think it's only fair as we've had all the other cartoon versions made.

I ordered He-Man , Skeletor and Faker. All my cards were good. I only opted to open Faker since I missed out on that one before. However, I opened the card at the base with a scalpel making a hinge and pulled the figure out. That way I can stuff him back if I wanted without it being visible. I'm sure Skeletor would be the only difficult one to do that with because of the ram's skull on the havock staff.

Yvonne Rogers I don't see why not. It's not too thick if you don't catch the inner plastic support the figure is resting in. I cut along the base between the faux mini comic and plastic bed, then up the sides almost to the front. That made a hinge at the front edge and Faker slid right out. Took him out of the plastic bed then slid that back up in and put it back in the mailer box for later use.

My card back was warped as well though I think it's due to how tight the mail box fit was, I had the same issue with Teela. After hearing your comments about Keldor it made me wish I had two skeletors and two fakers to swap out the arms and feet for a Keldor custom lol I could just use Faker and cover his chest decal somehow.

I understand why they did the blister card instead of a pack box..... nothing to do with costs but I am sure it's a factor.... being these are meant for collectors. and the best collector pieces are mint on card figures.... so the fact it's not resealable means it garauntees that. you can't fudge the concept of "Factory Sealed" if you were going to resell these.... now maybe with other stuff like a reissue of battle cat. or something you'll get a box like the vintage line had and the mattel classics line.... but the standard standalone figures I think will always come carded like these

Yo bro! Did you solve the "warped card" mystery? I'm thinking the cards may have been a bit warped before the blister was attached (possibly by humidity in factories?). That may make it warped from the adhesion of the blister. If the card was perfectly flat when then the blister was attached, there should be no warp- unless the adhesive itself, when sealed in the factory has a natural "contraction" as it dries that could pull on the card just enough to warp. Maybe try a small "level" (green liquid w/a bubble) and see if the card or plastic is not warped than the other? Other than that, these figures spent too much time packed together post-production (they were way late, so Skeletor may have been the first produced and packaged, laying in a large stack for weeks or months while the rest of the wave was being produced and packed in order to send all characters at once. Just trying to help!

The Super 7 Ultimates Skeletor is my favorite. I love the Alcala head the most. It's better than the original one that came with Demo-Man. The hood is sculpted in purple plastic and the face painted. I think it looks better that way.

Could someone tell me what's up with that square around the navel, please? Yesterday I thought that it might be a casting error on He-Man but there it is again.

was there any diference between the alcala head released by Mattel originally vs the new one by super 7 or are both alcala heads identicle? I was hoping you would compare both alcala heads side by side like you did with the He-man

Nathanil Saenz they are different. The super 7 one has the hood molded in purple plastic and the face painted in green instead of the other way around. I personally like it alot better. The paint on the face is closer to the four horsemen's original design. It has less green wash around the teeth than the version that came with demo-man. The only thing I will caution you with is if you're interested in buying one from ebay. Make sure you get one where you can see lots of pictures first. I bought two skeletors. The one alcala head was perfect. The other one had a purple smudge on the cheek and the hood was crooked.

Seems to me that the ULTIMATE Skeletor would have been using the Keldor body with Skeletor's head since the animation had boots instead of claw feet even thought the old toy had claws. Anyone doing that head swap.

I was hoping Super7 would change the color of the gem on Skeletor's chest. That pink spot really downgrades the overall look of the figure. One more opportunity missed. The metallic purple on the Skeletor from the Lex Luther two-pack looked neat.

My cardback was much worse unfortunately but the top of his box was smashed in. I had a very bad bend and crease across entire top which really sucked. I contacted Super7 about it and they said after all the figures ship out they will deal with damaged product so I'm still waiting to hear back.

The packaging on my ultimates is horrible. Actually from almost all super 7 motu my packaging has been very disappointing cursed skeletor regular and black version the 3 terrors and the ultimates came all messed up very bad since I collect moc
