In this mixed media sketchbook I use a variety of supplies including pen, prismacolors, Blackwing pencils, Ohuhu alcohol markers and many more. My drawing and painting subjects change a lot to include an assortment of subjects.

Hi! Sorry I am not posting this on one of the review/comparison videos but I was not sure if you would get notifications from years old videos. I was wondering if you would recommend liquitex basics as a budget acrylic paint? I have watched a number of the comparison videos but they are very specific for individual colors and was wondering about your thoughts on the brand (liquitex basics) as a whole

Hi @rfadik3! Yes I still see and respond to comments on the older videos. As far as your question on whether I would recommend liquitex basics as a budget acrylic paint, then I would say yes. Honestly it’s the first brand of acrylic paint that I started with as I was previously an oil painter I think the biggest thing when picking out what paint is best for you is what your budget is and then understanding how that paint will work for you after using acrylics. After a while I came to realize that Liquitex basics isn’t as opaque as I would like it to be for the paintings I was doing so required more layers than a Windsor in Newton or golden did. Which is why I created the brand comparison videos to help provide people with greater insight on how the paints perform. I know plenty of people who paint with craft paint or liquitex basic masterpieces.

@@RachelleByersArt Thank you for the reply. I did look into Winsor & Newton but unfortunately in my country it is quite a bit more expensive than Liquitex and not as readily available/not as wide a variety of colors available. I'll try keeping an out eye out though. Thanks again
