I want people to understand the sketchbooks are meant to be messy to! Don’t get discouraged if you are trying to make a sketchbook beautiful like this . I used to struggle with the idea that I couldn’t make pretty drawings on each page. It’s okay to not have perfect sketchbooks. Everyone’s style is different ! Just remember that. For example: if your a character designer you may not have beautiful paintings, you may have rough concept work and that’s okay!

I've been planning to have a sketchbook ever since I was 12 (I'm 18 now). I never actually used a sketchbook to put my ideas and I've been insecure how people would judge me through it and it's sad for me to not do things that will help me grow. I REGRET IT A LOT. This quarantine made me question myself, help me to look further, and give chance to myself to improve little by little and your video makes me want to go out of my comfort zone and try out other mediums.

otaku girl Go to a second hand shop, buy an old book, cut out the pages, now everytime you are happy with a drawing, just tape it in. You’ll end up with a the kind of book you want, without any failed sketches.
