I think people say they're worried about ruining their sketchbook because when they see popular artists books theres never a picture scribbled out,They all look like final pieces and it makes others think theirs should be the same. I mean that's what I usually feel when I start a sketchbook. But I might start a new one this year. Put all my comic ideas and random characters in, this video has definitely inspired me, thanks. kippers when we got my dog (she's half boxer) she had an open wound on her ear from when her previous owners tried to dock them.

The Ears docking I don't get it at all. the tail docking in some breeds are for health reasons. Some dog breeds have realy long and skinny tail and combined with the natural a hyper temperament it causes them bust up their tails. Almost constant Open wounds and bruising From hitting their tails on things when wagging their tail , not fun. if they had their tails docked it would of saved them pain. I'm not trying to start a argument but I'm saying it is not all bad.

This video made me feel so much better about sketching haha. Sketching in your sketchbook should be a no-stress activity, like, if you make a mistake it isn’t much of a big deal. I also love how you do multiples on each page and not like one whole finished drawing. In my own sketchbooks, I personally like to go back and redraw the pictures from my old sketchbooks, so I’d have like a head drawn in 2013 next to multiple of the same heads drawn in later years. I guess it’s just fun and a way to see you’re improvement. Anyway, nice video!

I love what you said about how it’s silly to not want to “ruin your sketchbook”. The thing that’s been holding me back from drawing is my fear that whatever I draw will turn out bad. I know that doesn’t make sense, because the only way to get better is to practice, but I dunno I’ve just been afraid. I didn’t want to have a sketchbook full of bad drawings, but you’re right. That is _literally_ what a sketchbook is for. I’m a dummy. I should sketch more.

Actually, it is very sad that it isn't common knowledge that artists must take breaks. It is essential to prevent you from having carpel tunnel or something like that. I ignored that for years and now I MUST take breaks, otherwise I get pain, numbness and shocking down my hand, elbow and wrist therefore I advice you to take care of yourself as well :)

i definitely think that a sketchbook is just a place where an artist can comfortably meet their needs. some use it for studies, others (like myself) use it to flesh out more finished pieces. i think it's interesting that people try to dictate what others should use their sketchbook for. there shouldn't be a standard that is set for appearance or use, just that you have fun with it, and it helps you to grow and improve as an artist

I love that you aren't afraid to show nudity in your drawings! Your drawings are amazing simply amazing. You have inspired me to draw and even though at the time my drawings are trash I still continue.
