hello! how to firstly turn on the layer function ?? as it doesnt show on the right side nor in window

If you run SketchUp 2019 or older you can find Layers under the Window menu. This will turn on the Layer dialog. From 2020 onwards Layers has been renamed 'Tags'. Same thing but a different name.

giving several options for 1 action is too confusing for a beginner. Just show us the best way and no other way. Later on, we can figure out the 5 other ways to do one thing. I'm getting lost in all the options.
