Hey! You dont explain HOW you have the option in the drop down menu in Import to select PDF. Do you have a plugin or what?
@Designstudentsavvy1238 жыл бұрын
What I discovered was that the PC version doesn't seem to have a PDF option. You have to convert the PDF to a JPEG.

I have Sketchup Make 2015. Can I import PDF like you show in your tutorial?
@Designstudentsavvy1238 жыл бұрын
No, you have to convert it to a jpeg first. Or a gif or png.
@jesse14417 жыл бұрын
Would it be better to use Inkscape and convert the PDF to DXF?
@JillianLareID7 жыл бұрын
If you can do that, then yes. But, you need Pro to import a DXF or DWG. The benefit is that the SketchUp drawing tools will snap to the points from the ACAD file.

Hello and thank you for the great tutorial. I am having an issue perhaps you can help me with. At the beginning when we resize the model, I selct the measuring tape and when I click I do not have written : "enter value to resize". Would you know why it is doing so ? Best regards. Louis
@JillianLareID8 жыл бұрын
Did you make sure that you don't have the image selected? If you have the image selected, it won't work. Make sure you click into the empty space and that there isn't a blue edge on the image.
@louislamour12238 жыл бұрын
Hello Jillian, Thanks for the quick answer. Yes it is the first thing I checked since you mentioned it. I have found a way. If while dragging I presse the option key, then I have the ability to resize by inputing a value. Great tutorial. Keep it up. Regards.
@denispoussart21168 жыл бұрын
Louis, thank you so much. Spent much time stuck in a loop before noticing your tip. Actually the tape measure has 2 modes which are toggled by the option key snd signalled by a tiny + sign next to the cursor. The mode without the + sign is the one that's needed for resizing. The tutorial is very nice indeed.

I agree with Tanja I also did everything still no PDF..whats the catch? be loyal to your viewer don't mislead them with information..life is already difficult
