Hi everyone! Let me know your tips that you wish you knew when you started using Blender!

A great video here coming from a long term but very disillusioned Sketchup user looking for a solid alternative. A couple of tools I use extensively in Sketchup are the guides and the ability to draw a line on a surface to divide it up before extruding. How should I apporach these workflows in Blender?

Nice! I was wondering how to snap to corners. I wish there was just a way to grab the corner that you want to snap instead of blender guessing which corner you'd like to snap. Still, better than nothing!

SketchUp's main advantage is the simplicity of creation of objects with exact dimensions. When I create a line or plane, I can manually enter the sizes I need, press Enter and get what I need. Another great helper is a trick with drawing something on a plane and then 'extruding' it. With these features creation of things with simple geometrical forms is a breeze. I'm browsing Blender's tutorials for beginners, and so far haven't found mentions of similar features here. Will continue to search. :)

will you do any tutorial node like in the 16:20? it's generally easier to use custom shader which we generally only have the albedo texture. instead of using 4 and it may also not be the one we wanted, or we could say similar but not the exact one.

Is there a way to update or sync my blender preview with textures included if I modify the original sketchup? pls

Always ask a beginner in general for opinions and thoughts, and then ignore it

In Sketchup we can duplicate edge by moving plus ctrl and it split face by two pieces. When I duplicate edge in blender nothing happens with face. I mean face doesnt split. Can we duplicate edges in blender like in Sketchup?
