Thanks! Those are '4 way clamps'. Great for panel glue ups.

Can you do a video on your CNC? That would be sweet!

For sure dude! I'm currently working on a full ski build video, then I dive into that. Cheers!

Hi JD, love your videos. Near the end of the video while showing off your router jig, I see you're profiling some horizontally laminated (plywood) ski cores. I'm curious if you've experimented with vertical vs. horizontal laminations in your skis? If so, I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing how they compare to each other in the end product.

Hey Josh, thanks! Honestly I've only built 1 pair of horizontally laminated skis so far. But I like your idea, might have to do a video where I make 2 pair of skis, one horizontal and the other vertical, and compare. Thanks for the comment!

@@redbarrelskis3361 As a man of science, I would truly appreciate a video like that! I haven't been able to find a good forum analyzing the pros/cons. Seems to me that if they were comparable, it would be a whole lot cheaper/simpler to go with a high quality plywood instead of going through the whole glue up/bandsaw ripping process with the vertical laminations.

Working on building my first pair of skis, what woods would you recommend for the core? looked like you maybe used some pine, oak, and poplar? My goal is to build an all mountain ski, much like the Nordica Enforcer. Thanks for all the videos, its a huge help!

Hi dude, that's awesome! Yeah pine and poplar are probably the most popular options. That's what I'd recommend. Oak is a bit harder than poplar, so if you are worried about ripping out bindings that would be a better option. Good luck!!
