Nice!! I'm sold now on the 600 ace. 50 kmh is fast enough for this old goat and the fuel mileage awesome.

Also durability and easy maintenance made this very good for the long haul.

I have 2019 Expedition Sport 900 ACE. I find I can handle tight trails and breaking trails in deep snow better in ECO mode. It does not get stuck or trench down with too much power. Just something I tried that works for me.

Sometimes it s better to float then splitting the mountain in half. Sometimes the soft approach get you where you want.

This will be a perfect sled for my partner... he doesnt need loads of power and with less power he will feel more at ease. I think the only thing Id do is add a 1.75 Backcountry paddle track and maybe gear it down a tooth so that he can follow me off the trail from time to time and I dont have to worry about him getting stuck all the time. The spare fuel can be carried on it for my 700 two-stroke :) Thanks for the review!
@PierresAdventures3 жыл бұрын
1.75 is reasonable way to go. 2 will be too much load on a 600 ace.

Your narration of the ride and conditions on the video is good. When I watch a video like yours the wind and sweet purring of the ACE engine is music to my ears. Putting music to a video now introduces a distraction to your video. Personal tastes in music can vary wildly from person to person.

Yes the 900 is clearly better than the 600 in terms of appeal, since it is way more versatile, It is better on open terrain and on the value side it will retain value realy well. Thanks for watching!

hello pierre!! i have a 2021 expedition sport in the new 600efi 2 stroke. amazing sled!! i have not yet become a 4 stroke guy even though everyone including my brothers all ride 4 strokes.. my 600efi can reach 85mph even though i dont usually go that fast ..overall with the g4 and 600efi motor and 154 articulating track i think you can go just about anywhere and it has a dry weight of just 502lbs..i have driven a 2020 mxz with a 600 ace and i liked it. it seemed to be pretty torquey though.. what are you riding this year??
@PierresAdventures2 жыл бұрын
I loved the 600 Efi and for me 2 stroke Is the way to go. When I get stuck, I just flip them over. The expedition is a great jack of all trade. I loved it. This year is rough, I have nothing so far. I m on a new house project. We will see later this winter if anything happens. ;)

Thanks for posting. How far on a tank?
@PierresAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Jimo368 i don’t have direct number since we ran it off trail most of the time , But I can affirm that it is really effective on fuel, we ran it against many other and vs two strokes engine 600 Carb 600 Etec and 800 by the end of the day half tank for a full day off trail the others were almost all empty. This mill is not expensive to run : no mixing oil, very efficient(10.X liter per 100 km “brp numbers “ ) and very easy on maintenance. From my stand point it is one if not the best in fuel economy in the business. This winter I’m running the 900 ACE for sledmagazime.com . I will have more concrete numbers for that mill. Thank you for watching.

You should be safe for 300 km on a full tank.
@ih3023 жыл бұрын
I did a run a while back, 272 km travelled and it took 28 L at the pump so that gives me a range of 375 km in ideal conditions and this is turning a 154" track. Note: my machine is a 2014 and has a 40 L tank, the Gen 4 machines only have a 36 L tank.

Is this the g4 platform? If not, how would you compare it?
@PierresAdventures3 жыл бұрын
This was the old chassis. The gen4 float better is more agile and feel more flexible. It is way easier to engage a sidehill on the gen4. On the old one I recommend the skid plate for added floatation. The gen4 is also more forward in rider position. The new running board clear way more snow too.

@@PierresAdventures thanks! Probably going to pull the trigger on a new expedition 600 ace this spring. I tried the 600 ace in the tundra and I love it, I don’t have a need for speed lol!

Outils ??? Moi je connais « fuck all » un vieux newby quoi.
@PierresAdventures2 жыл бұрын

@jacklee95384 жыл бұрын
@@PierresAdventures The sport model does not have the gearbox. The higher end models do but they weight about 100 pounds more. The 900 sport weights 21 pounds more so the extra 80 pounds must be mostly the wider track and geabox.
@ih3024 жыл бұрын
With the light weight of the sled and the low end torque of this engine, I can't see low range being useful (I'm pretty sure they are geared lower than the trail sleds with the same engine). I tow a 4 x 8 groomer drag with mine and the only issue I encounter while grooming is that it's so light up front that it will keel over on it's side if you have to give it anything more than a moderate amount of throttle while going around a a turn. I've had to adjust my driving style so that I have enough speed going around a turn to get through it without heavy throttle inputs. If you are planning on doing really heavy hauling, you might be better off with a heavier sled.
