The gopro effect is real. Looks so much more mellow going down than it actually is!

Yeah, the GoPro really messes with the depth perception and steepness.

In steep terrain an aggressive confident pole plant will commit your upper body to the fall line. Instead of trying to ride the first turn around just let the tips drop and you're already past the fall line. Put most of the weight on the downhill ski and let the uphill one float. Turn quickly to keep the upper body flowing down. Lots of tight turns will create the hanging in space feel and time will stand still. Bang a few while looking for a good spot to scrub speed. Never go full ballistic until you are sure of the run out.

I was taught to push on my big toe on my downhill ski and unweight the uphill. Best lesson ever. As simple and fool proof as it gets. Vermont and East coast always have the icy spots.

Good to see the run is groomed occasionally to knock down the moguls before they look like Volkswagens. I love those loose snow piles.

That dude sounded rude from that Short interactivon here, but they looked like they just looking after you two to be honest

I remember hitting that by accident one day. Was trying to stick to the right but got forced left. Amazed I didn't break anything. That was before I really got used to moguls.

Just seems like a dangerous run that's patrolled to me, if you don't want them to follow, moutains usually always have sperate peaks nearby you can hike to and have runs that are un patrolled but you must be expert level and trained for avalanches

Watching this I remember doing the same crazy stuff when I was a kid . No fear !!

Ya! Me and my friends all love the difficult terrain. I will be going back to Killington this year, do you have any suggestions? When we went a lot of the terrain wasn't open because it was so early in the year.

@@skiingwithmax3902 Any of the double Blacks at Killington is a challenge. Bear Mountain has Outer Limits which is considered one of their most difficult runs. In fact, the last time I skied it was that slope some 30 years ago.

Bro, a few lessons from a top instructor and you could be a solid skier. Thanks for the clip.

Nice slope! I wouldn't mind be ski-patrolling it 😊

lol, judging by your shadow and your skis your technique needs a lotta work. not one of those skids was a carved turn

Cliff Line is nice to run, but knowing that double black versus Bromley's Plunge I have no idea why it's a double black. (Literally just the drop in is difficult).

Where do they put the moguls in the summer?

That's gnarly! I wouldn't even try that on a snowboard. Maybe on skis back when I was good
