Skiathos Travel Guide | Must-Do on This Greek Island

I am petrified of flying but was so desperate to visit Skiathos that I travelled nearly 1900 miles by coach to get there. Took around 56 hours but was worth every minute. Beautiful Greek paradise. I’d do that journey again tomorrow to be back there

I have been going here for years mostly to the Troulos area, since my kids were very little (both much older now) our favorite Greek island and probably my favorite place ever!! The amazing Greeks are so welcoming and family orientated, stunning scenery, fantastic food, perfect bus system. That plane landing can be a little breath taking at times 😁

Great travel guide. Good to know about transportation costs on skiathos. Achladies beach was also one of my favorite and the boat trip from there to skiathos town

Great video! I am considering flying to the island solely for the excellent aircraft spotting opportunity! It is one of the best airports for aircraft spotting. There are maybe 2 or 3 like that in the world, but Greece is local to all Europeans! ;)

Hi thx for stopping by. Scooter/motorbikes from 10€-15€/ day depending on size of engine. Car from 20€ /day. During high season from 30€+. You get a small car. but If you're 1 or 2 person there should not be a problem. The Island is rather small and the car rides is not more than 1h normally. Enjoy Your stay!!! 🙌

Hi, In my Opinion,Yes. The buses are in time and most of them have AC. Some operating hours they might be crowded. I have been in Skiathos serveral times and only needed car once since we wanted to visit specific places where the bus did not traffic. Enjoy your time in Skiathos. 😃

@kneza96BG probably because of new regulations in Greece that says x% of the beaches must be without sunbeds. I think the number is around 60%. Good in many ways, but it has it cons as well. 😃

I would say its one of the greek islands that is best suited for familys with kids/small children. The water/sea is normally shallow for a bit so you dont have to worry, and there are lifeguards on most of the beaches. Enjoy your stay! 😁
