Ralph is one of the brilliant minds of modern age...no doubt about this. Thank you MR. Towner for what you have given us & the world itself 🙏

I've heard Mclaughlin,Clapton,Page,Matheney,Emmanual I've heard the best of the last 40 years and not one of them has the total,or could play anyway as complete as this,he truely was a master a guitarists guitarist, all ten fingers no plectrum no gadgets,no tricks just pure talent and genious.

That sweet melody, the delicate proficiency, the sheer mastery of the instrument brings tears of joy - in any genre or style, Ralph Towner remains my very favorite guitarist! Just brilliant!

Ralph's probably got the most relaxed right hand that I've seen.......one of the best for many years.

It's not just that Ralph can play - though perhaps without the consistent virtuosity of a de Lucia or MacLaughlin - but that he writes the most exquisite music... and then sort of jams it. And then when he actually nails it (Solo Concert?), no one else comes close.

if you think virtuosos can hold a candle to this, then i'm afraid you don't really understand music. you're more like one of those people who get easily dazzled by fast notes and other vapid fretboard wankery.

There is a terrific version of The Prowler on Oregon's album, "Live at Yoshi's" ... but whether in ensemble or solo, Towner gets it DONE.

Dude, the version of "The Prowler" on "Oregon: Live at Roshi's" is horrible in comparison to this. Switch to decaf. ".
