Ralph Towner -- Jamaican Stopover

Ralph is master of time and space! Phrasing, dynamics, incredibly beautiful and often complex harmonic content spontaneously conjured on the fly. What more could one strive for? I have been a fan of Ralph since the early days or Oregon and he just keeps getting better and better. So great to hear him doing more solo guitar because he just rips it so hard. His mistakes are more musical than most guitarists best moments.. Myself included! IMHO one of the best musicians, composers and guitarists of our time.

I obtained a copy of Ralph's book on improvisation while teaching violin repair and playing a violin concert in Taipei 1998.. Free Taiwan..lost a girl friend cuz a Oregon...dats anudder story.

I've been a fan of his and Oregon since highschool in the early 80s... saw him in 1985, my first time in a bar, sat 2m away. Anyway I've always played music and in the later 80s tried to play a bit like Towner, but not since. I'm curious how one could write an entire book on improv though.
