Skid row came out when I was a rebellious 16 year old kid and the moment I heard youth gone wild I knew that band is mine. Bought the album with my own money and absolutely loved it. Not one track would be skipped. Slave to the grind is my favorite album ever. Fast forward to 2009 and I was laid off from my job and would stay up listening to music while my family slept. I would always look up music on KZbin and cam across this new band Halestorm and wow they blew me away. Fell in love with Lzzy and have never stopped listening and following skid row and now Lzzy is playing live shows as skid rows singer just blows my damn mind. I love it so much but I know it doesn’t seem to be long term but I wish they would play a show in Ohio

I watched an interview with her talking about how she landed this gig and to hear her talk about being a huge Skid Row fan and the pure joy on her face and excitement in her voice is refreshing to see and that excitement spills over to the band and comes through in the performances.

Just saw them in Iowa tonight. They were phenomenal. I was so pumped. Unfortunately we were right by the speakers. It was so loud it was a bit hard to make out her hitting some of the really badass parts. But I don’t know many singers who can do justice to Sebastian Bach’s songs like she can.

So funny reading how people are "surprised by how good Lzzy sounds" or "how good of a fit this is." Lzzy has been doing this for quite a while and has been widely regarded as one of the best voices in rock. She kills it fronting Halestorm as well as when she duets with anyone or guests on their song. As far as the Skids "finding their new singer," Halestorm travel the world way too much for her to step back to front this band. I just don't see it lasting long term. I can't see the Skids going out to open for Halestorm either. Think about the logistics of that and how each band would have to be on the same page timing wise for the long run. I think this is awesome for now, so soak it up and enjoy it before Halestorm have to hit the road on a world tour.
