Skid Steer GRADING Secrets for a FLAWLESS Yard in 2024

Today, our friend Brett with Brett's Property Services brought his skid steer over to help us grade our land and smooth things out so that we could plant grass seed. We had a final grade done last week with a bulldozer, but there were still some large ruts and tracks that we wanted to get cleaned up.
We'll be seeding these next few weeks and renovating the lawns in the front and back yards, hoping to have mowable grass by fall. I'll update you guys with our irrigation and overseeding setup and what we're doing to get a beautiful front and back yard.

Oh man I love pavers. Im over across the pond in ontario and pavers is a dying art ! people dont understand its so easy and not expensive to level when the ground does heave but its SO expensive to fix concrete. With how our frost line is changing every year and our weather to begin with... Pavers are a win win for looks and all that in my books!

30K??? Brian! I did roughly the same paver walkway by myself, took 2 days and 2500-3000

If you can track down a baseball field drag to tow behind your quad you’ll get all the small rocks, twigs etc and really smooth it out

Now tow a piece of chain link fence behind your quad and slick it down for seed!

Amazing looking brother. People don't ask for any grade during building process. They'll give you a grade but i can promise it's not going to do well. Keeping that water from your foundation is such a pain but definitely worthy of doing or you'll be really upset 😅 What options did they offer for your foundation. Like protection wise?

They did do the waterproofing (black spray stuff), that's all I think!

You may want to put some plastic or fabric against the stone until your landscaping is done. Prevents mud all over the stone.

I love my Kentucky Bluegrass, and my annual ryegrass it stays green all winter long. Kentucky Bluegrass stripes the best in the world. I hate fescue.
