Steep hills with reverse grades, basketball sized rocks & buried stumps. This is the WORST grading job I've seen. We start to fix it & test out a new bucket.

1 of 4 reasons: 1) Contractor didn't pull the required Permits thus no Inspector ever saw it... 2) Inspector was Lazy and signed off on the Permits without actually looking at (or caring about) the finished site... 3) Inspector looked at the finished site but was too Incompetent or Inexperienced (or both) to recognize that it was wrong... 4) Inspector looked at the site but was Corrupt and accepted a Bribe from the Contractor to Pass the Job even though it's wrong...

Usually a bobcat can't do trees like that. The sand was helping you a lot. Usually you have to use a large backhoe or a dozer to cut the roots then push the tree over. Try to avoid pushing with the bucket high or trying to get a running start, the tree can break midway and come in the cab.

Just a tip when tightening hydraulic hoses. Never twist a hose into a loop like you have just done. As that hose is pressurized it will twist and cause an eventual early hose failure or loosening of the fitting you just tightened...

He Stan: you weren’t in hi flow mode on the cat. You have to have a jumper plug on the 14 pin to put it into high flow. You’ll want to get one from your car dealer. It will work better.
@Dirtmonkey3 жыл бұрын
I think that activates the electroins to an attachments- not the high flow of the hydraulics
@jameshancock3 жыл бұрын
@@Dirtmonkey nope. Pin k must be jumpered to pin b to activate high flow hydraulics which then will activate on the screen and raise the flow from 20 to 30 gpm. So if you bought the high flow attachment it won’t work right until you jumper the pins in the 14 pin aux port. You can easily test it with a piece of wire. You’ll see the light go on in the cab when you short k and b. (And if you run the attachment you’ll see the difference)

I was having issues with busting hoses in rough brush several months ago. I got up with the local fire department and found that they were getting rid of some old fire hoses. I ended up cutting a section to length to run my hydraulic lines through. It ended up working great. The only thing I ended up changing was that I went back and split the fire hose lengthwise (instead of sliding the hoses through like a sleeve) and sewed heavy duty Velcro to make it a “quick attach”, which made it easier to check the hydraulic lines at the end of the day.
@maartenvanderuit87853 жыл бұрын
