Weber is so gnarly, definitely one of the coolest styles. much love from the gulf coast.

I've seen you struggle in your other instructional videos conveying your instinctual motion and years of experience to others. In this age of instant gratification, folks miss the benefit of time spent on the beach and in the waves. So happy to see the young dogs being groomed and incorporated into the community. All the best and thanks for having us all along for the adventure.

Blair is a freaking Cheetah running with his skim board out to a wave. That's one reason he's so good at Skim Boarding. He's also very light on his feet. He naturally glides on the surface really well (which relates to forward motion and technique). His speed of entry and lightness skimming puts him right where he wants on a wave. Then it's just pure skill in how he maneuvers on the wave. Lots of practice and muscle memory. People say you learn from your mistakes, but it's more about learning when you do something well. You go "Oh, that's how I need to do it" and remember to do that the next time. You learn from doing things correctly and remembering how you did it. That's how I learned to skate and surf. I just practiced and when I pulled off a trick I instantly put what I did into memory so I could do it again. Then it become habit and you move on to another maneuver.

This could be really handy in the UK. Lots of beaches that may have been good for skimming I've previously ruled out as the sand is so rough, mixed with stone and grit. This technique may help and so open up more spots. Thanks for sharing😀

Monkey dropping is great on east coast waves for getting more momentum and power into your turns since there isn't as much force in the wave itself. I cannot water drop worth a lick but I can monkey crawl and it saves my sessions on windy days. Great vid😎

hey Man!! gotta say i love your videos, i just started skimboarding and your videos have been the right first step to start on this sport. The only thing with this video is the shooting man. I feel like the camera is focusing to much on the guy face even when he is trying to explain like how to hold the board and stuff like that. maybe next time just take like a couple steps back so we can always see full body of the person explaining. other than that amazing video i can't wait to try monkey drop even tho as soon as i saw the technique i was like "my back is not gonna hold that shit" hahaha u know fears of older people. But thanks man keep it up you are great school

Than we have to worry about bad audio! We don’t have the mic set up that is required to get the type of shots you are suggesting
