i have the 600 xrs and it kills big time in the woods. i passed a lot of 850s and 600s and generally does really well

@@xeroxhydra2834a lot of it is the rider, and ironically enough I have had 3 full size sleds, 2017 mxz 600rs race sled, a 2014 switchback assault 800, and now a 2020 renegade x 850, out of the three my switchback was best in twistys (imo) and had tons of balls, the 600 was a screamer and really loved high rpm’s, but never seemed happy in a straight line, my renegade 850 is the best of both worlds imo bc I got tons of power all over the rpm range, and it also likes the corners not as well as the 600 but that’s to be expected. In short for some reason my 144” 800 just cornered like a train, I would send the turns anywhere from 30 to 80mph depending on how familiar the trails were to me

All pretty close. Weight of the rider and actual sled model are probably the biggest differences until the very top and the bigger motor should do better.

Standing while running a lake race. Might as well pull a parachute.

Lol was only standing to slow down at the end

I would try like a summit 850 146 and a summit 600r etec 146 and see what happens because they gave the 600 more power in 2019 when they added it to the summit

What’s the top speed of that 600
@sierranick62933 жыл бұрын
The 09 tops out at somewhere between 100-110 on speedo. The 19 600R I've had a tick over 100 after the gearing change. I don't know what it topped out at prior.

such perfect drag racing conditions

Yes - a rare occurrence. Did not have that happen this year and therefore no new video lol.

Watching this is the reason I'm only interested in a 600R for trail riding, and also the reason I can't find the one I want within 200 miles. Even with the ridiculous prices, people are still snapping them up at $12 grand a pop.

Just bought a 2019 summit sp 600r with 1200 miles on it... paid 12k and it was the only one within 300 miles (in the pnw) He had a line of people behind me to buy it if I didnt so yeah goodluck if you can find one for cheaper but I couldn't

Difference between 600r and 600etec?
@ajvisscher23412 жыл бұрын
And which is better?
@sierranick62932 жыл бұрын
600r etec is all around better than 600etec and has several more HP. Plus the 600r benefits from the new P Drive clutching. If you can afford to get into a 600r, that would be the way to go. Otherwise, 600 etec still a solid choice!!

If I was on the 850, I wouldn't get to cocky at a pitstop!

That 2009 year model looks faster on top end
@sierranick62933 жыл бұрын
Yep! Lighter weight machine and shorter track length give it the edge on top end against the 600r renegade

i question the health of the 850, same sled with difference of 35 hp, should be alot more noticeable....
@sierranick62933 жыл бұрын
It could be that one of us was getting the jump. Not the most scientific test ya know. I would say the 850 is not down on health. We have a few in the group and they all run the same. I'll probably do another round of this this winter just because. The 850 is stupid fast at the end of the day and there is certainly no comparison.

I’ve got a 2021 600 and my buddy has a 2020 850 and I’ve noticed that 0-78 ish is the same if I’ve got my skis up on a lake bed. As soon as I hit 80 my skis touch down and he pulls away from me. I’ve noticed that the 850 has a lot more top end then a 600 but honestly ice bumps start hurting more above 90 and I rarely ride for long periods above 60. They’re all fun and all extremely capable machines at the end of the day.

Nope, the 600 is faster for the first 400 feet, and way faster in the bush. Top end on a lake is a no brainer, displacement wins. I take it you don’t sled 😂
