Dad bought us a brand new one in 88- I was 12. Prime it 3 times and it would usually fire on the second pull every time. Man, if I had a nickel for every tank of fuel put through that little machine and every trail we broke first, every load of firewood we pulled out with the bobsleds, or every mile of trail we pulled a drag across- I could probably buy a new one! Had so much fun on that little machine. I still love just hearing the sound of yours!

Tundras were good machines except trying to weave through the trees in deep snow conditions. They always wanted to roll to the outside of the turn and required a fair bit of effort to lean them back to the inside. I much preferred an older Olympique or an Elan for those conditions.

@nybergsgarage2 жыл бұрын
@@1986Honda4trax I imagine so. I have a ski whiz with a longer track than most vintage sleds (although not as long as this one here) it does better in the powder, although I'm thinking of putting a deeper-lug track on it one day.

Man the tundra is a nice machine. I need one for gathering wood. Just looks like a good time. Your land might be what is propagandaing that for me but whatever. Could you test NOCO lithium batteries in the cold? I know its a expensive thing to ask. But I feel like with your pull in the Canadian sled world you could work something out. I think you even did sponsored noco videos. Anyways if its possible could you do it? Four storke sled too!!!??
@PowerModzOfficial3 жыл бұрын
I might try them - ill check them out. I dont like NOCO for their wires - the plastic on them becomes super hard in the cold weather and is very annoying - and brittle

dumb question..... ive only ever primed my polaris 600 xcsp until the primer felt like it was moving gas, granted its a '99. Seems like you prime the thing a ton... is it just model to model based what it takes to flood the motor? Love the videos as always

I’ve never had a sled or even ridden one Do you remember the Honda 400 Foreman’s that had the real long gas tank vent hose that stuck down in the steering column, I’d just bought mine and had it about 6-8 months when I was out trail riding with a bunch of friends and the thing would just run about 10-15 minutes and die everybody kept saying I was outta gas but it was full and as soon as I put the gas cap back on it would run again for about 10-15 minutes then die again after several hours of riding and searching for any possible answer to the problem someone ask if I’d checked the vent line to see if it was plugged up. As I was pulling it out we noticed that it was twisted up bad almost into a knot and after getting it all the way out I cut off a bunch of it leaving just enough to go down into the steering column about 4” and I never had any problems again and as soon as I bought the 450 Forman I did the same thing to it Have fun and stay warm.
