Pure, unadulterated fun. This is what these are. Yes, they are soft, yes they suck on hard and icy but on softer snow these provide more giggles per cm than any other ski I own.

The 75 will have a hard time bending to the 87 mm waist of the Mirus Cor. 95 is really your only Pivot option here.

Got to demo this last weekend. Unfortunately it was icy groomers with patches of soft on top, so I can't really say I was too impressed. On the very short moments on the soft it was OK, but there was not enough time even to try to adapt to how this thing skied, coming off my Enforcer 88s. It was definitely more an E88 day... So, as also said in this video, I would not consider a real quiver-killer. You need another pair to complement these.

Excellent review, thx. Recently demoed and considering buying these skis at 168mm-so much fun to ski, playful on the groomers and wonderful handling in the bumps, though they struggle a bit in crud and tend to chatter a bit when I ski fast. Me being a lighter person, wife of husband Michael. What are your recommendations on binding set points for a women 130lbs 5’5”? Also love to see a review of these ski’s from a women's perspective? As they are unisex ski’s. Also what ski would you recommend that’s similar to these ski’s, that can handle the crud better? Alway’s looking for that 1 ski quiver. 🙏

While unisex, they're not really offered in shorter lengths, and that kind of takes it out of "women's" especially when measured against other manufacturers skis in which the women's versions are generally shorter. We put Emily on these last year in the 168 and she loved them. I'd check out the Salomon QST 92 as a slightly wider and more crud-oriented ski, it's about as complete as it gets in terms of having one ski.

Thank you Jeff for this amazing review. I have one question, I have the 2020 Rustler 10, and I think that the Mirus Cor fits a Little bit more with what I want when there’s no fresh snow. Would you recommand me to buy it and go Rustler 10 when it snows and Mirus Cor when it doesn’t or these skis are too similar and I should just replace my Rustler 10? Thank you

Love your review of the Mirus cor, I will be getting a pair after trial skied for a day. I am 175cm tall and 75-78kg, should I be on 178 or 173. I am on a pair of Rossi Sender 104Ti 173 at the moment. I short turn a lot and play park a bit. Love bumps.

I’m curious, from your mount point, the waist seems narrowest under you heel, and I know some previous reviews mentioned you ski rather forward. How far forward of recommended Mount point are you? Also, have you tried these on some gnarly NE icy days to see how they handle with the partial sheet of metal and swallow tail? Reason I’m asking, I’m a PSIA L3 who has not had a chance to demo, but my brother was curious about these, and yes he is also a rather good skier albeit a much flatter ski skier than I am.

I think it's +3 from the line. On very icy days here in VT, it's tough to get that true tip to tail engagement and smoothness. It takes a bit of softer snow to get the full bite of the edge due to the very short turn radius and lack of metal throughout the ski.

I am looking for a replacement for my 2018 Salomon XDR 84 Ti's. I love these skis but they are at the end of their life. I like a playful, easy to turn ski (short radius turns) that I can carve at slower speeds. A typical top to bottom run for me would be a black diamond medium size mogul run followed by carving on the green lower slopes back to the lift. I like the XDR's as they are fun in almost all circumstances. They are wide enough at the tip and tail to still be ok in the soft snow and powder. I do not want a ski that has to be on edge all the time as I have an old pair of Rossignol Strato 70 Ti's for that purpose. I also have a pair of DPS Wailer Foundation 100's that I love. Similar features to the XDR - shorter 15 meter turn radius, playful etc. Would the Mirus Cor's be a decent replacement for the Salomon XDR's and do you have any other replacement recommendations? Thanks!

We view the Mirus Cor as an addition to a quiver, not a replacement. It's a very unique ski and it's tough to put it up against anything, including an XDR (which I really liked back in the day!). If you're looking for a new version of that ski, I'd check out the Salomon Stance 90. The Stance 84 is worth a look too, but the build of the 90 is more advanced. That said, the Mirus Cor is very fun and engaging, and there's a darn good chance it'll be your favorite ski.

Would you recommend these for an aggressive hard pack skier? I love the short turns but I also like to open up a bit with some speed and just take big wide turns.

It's wonderful in the short and mid radius turns. It's a bit tougher to generate strong carves at higher speeds due to the short radius and wide shovels and tails. That said, I highly recommend this ski.

I want a narrower ski than my Blizzard Rustler 10s to improve carving, but I also enjoy a lot of frontside off piste terrain like bumps and trees. I'm about 5'10" and 155-160 pounds. I get about 10 ski days a year but ski most of the mountain except extreme slopes. Would this be a good ski to make a 2 ski quiver? Is it fast enough? Others I've compared it to are the Brahma 82 and the Kendo and Kanjo.

The Mirus Cor is a fantastic carving toy. it's no quite as business-like as the Brahma or the Kendo, making it playful, fun, and engaging in an on-trail format. I also really like it in the bumps and trees, so that's a big bonus. I'd go with that ski in the 178.

I bought the Mirus on your reviews. The local shop recommended the 173.2 since I ski mostly at 7Springs, a small hill. I had fun on it this weekend but I’m wondering if i shouldn’t be on the 178? My Ripstick Blacks (I emailed you about adding the Mirus as a compliment to such) are 180s. What are your thoughts; I’m 5’11, 170 lbs and a good skier.

Generally I think it's okay to go a size down on the Mirus Cor if you're in the middle--this takes advantage of the shorter radius.

Hi there, I’m a 5’7” 168lbs advanced skier who enjoys carving at speed on pistes but also having a bit of fun on jumps from time to time. I’m struggling to find a pair of skis that suit my needs. (85% pistes, 15% park) I thought the mirus cor were perfect for me until I found out about the high speed carving issues as the carving is more important to me. Any help appreciated, thanks!

While we love the Mirus Cor's on-trail mid-radius carving performance, it's somewhat limited in scope beyond that. If you're looking for a ski in the 88-92 mm range for all-conditions and terrain as an intermediate, I'd look at something a bit more general like the Atomic Bent 90. I'm 6/2 225 and I've had a blast on the 178. I think given your stats and application, that'd be a better option than the 184.

Hello! Very nice review. Currently, I am considering getting a pair between the Mirus Cor and the Serpo. I am an intermediate to advanced skier who enjoys occasional off-piste runs and likes to jump around. After three seasons it seems that I like a little bit of everything and therefore would like to have a pair of skis that can handle both on and off-piste. The Serpo's tail is a lot more locked in than the Mirus Cor. If you're looking to get any amount of playfulness and creativity out of the ski, I'd go with the Mirus Cor. Serpo is happier in an on-trail format.

Generally we found it to be limited at high speeds in a carved turn. The radius is too short and the ski is too centrally-themed to make it stable at speed when trying to carve. You can go fast, just don't expect GS-like capabilities.

I think the Blade was mentioned because there's no direct similarities or comparisons with either of these skis. The main thing that's alike is the short turn radius, but other than that they're very different skis.

Thanks for all of these great reviews. I own a pair of 17-18 Origin 96 182cm, which I love as a fun playful all mountain ski but I found it struggled in steeper harder conditions (Ski the East!) so I managed to pick up a pair of 2018 Origin 90 186cm when I want better stability. But, lately I have really been wanting to improve my carving and this ski sounds intriguing. Is this worth spending the extra money for a 3rd ski or am I fine with what I have?

I do know some other shops have them, but it still might be tough to find a pair. Might have to put those funds into savings and plan on picking one up for next season :/

I don't think there's a big benefit here, as the shorter turning capability is the highlight of the ski. If you had a blast on the 178, I wouldn't change much.

Funnily enough they are the only two skis I own. I’m 6’3 and weigh 85kg. The Atris feels far more reliable for my weight than the mirus cor but I have also owned it 4 seasons longer, so huge bias potential haha. From my perspective if you can only get one, get the atris. So much better in off piste terrain and holds it own on the piste well enough. If you don’t plan on skiing off piste then the mirus is far superior but is also kinda a tricky one to get to grips with if you’re a beginner I imagine. It’s a very funky ski

The Mirus Cor is a more engaging and approachable ski for those that are looking to spend most of their time on trail. Atris is superior when it comes to soft snow and powder, but if you're a beginner/intermediate, my guess is that most skiing is done on-trail. Mirus Cor is on the specific side, though, I'd offer a more well-rounded option in something like the Salomon QST 92 that does a bit of everything really well to help with progression.

The tips and tails aren't terribly stiff. I (Bob) am 225 pounds and find them on the flexible side from time to time, but you do have to remember to ski it a bit more centrally. I love them, and aside from the fact that you can't really treat it like a GS ski, it's an absolute blast in shorter turns and in off-piste situations like bumps and more packed down woods.

Hi Jeff, I’m seriously considering to buying Mirius Cor. I have the Line Blade , I love it but I just want a little more agileness. I mounted the BLADE fist in recommended then went +4 from recommended. I’m kind of ok with +4 on blade, but I’m still lacking the playfulness. I’m thinking that Mirus Cor is not going to be as comfortable at high speeds compared with the BLADE which I understand, but I want that playfulness. I’m thinking to mount the Mirus Cor at +2 from recommend. What’s your mount point and any recommendation?

I have them on the factory line for all applications. The line works great and since the rocker profile and taper shape are very symmetrical, it kind of makes sense to keep it on the line.

I have both Mirus Cor 173cm and Line Blade 176cm. Mirus Cor is way more fun 😂 easier to get on edge while the Line Blade maybe more stable a high speed it like steering a yacht compared to Mirus Cor is speed boat.

You guys are the best! I am very interested in buying the Mirius Cor ski. I am a intermediate to advanced 20 year old skier from the east coast. I love carving the groomers, and going in and out the woods and always looking out for some powder. I just like having fun on the mountain. I don’t hit the terrain park too much. But I am conflicted on whether or not I should get this ski or the bent 100. I know atomic has been around for forever and a trusted company. I just want to get my moneys worth and get a great ski. I would love some advice on what you think I should do.

Thanks! While you may be somewhat disappointed with some aspects of the Bent--carving, stability, dampness--you will not have those feelings with the Mirus Cor as long as you adhere somewhat to the shorter to mid radius carves. It can go faster, it just doesn't like to carve at higher speeds. Tough for us to argue against the Black Crows.

I have mirus cor and atomic maverick 88 ti. Mirus cor can go anywhere and is medium speed and turny. When I want more speed and stronger carve I go with the maverick.

Was the metal in last year's model as well or was that new for the 2024 model? BTW...I've been looking for something I loved as much as my old Salomon 1080s. This is it, and then some! It out turns my actual slalom skis (Blizzard Firebird SRCs), is fun in powder, is doable in the bumps and rips corduroy like it's mad at it. Seriously the perfect ski in MN where it's short run/high rep/groomers. I struggled with it out in MT on steeper, more technical terrain, but I'm also 47 and not in mountain shape. I'm thinking of stockpiling these as I never want to be without a ski like this in my quiver - a twin tipped carving machine!

You said you were 5/10 and 150lbs using a 178cm "all day"; but in a different comment you recommended a 175cm (5/9) 75-78kg (170lbs) guy the 173cm. Can I ask you what is the rationale here? There are no black/white rules for sizing. Perhaps the other guy noted that he preferred shorter turns or wanted a more nimble ski--there are endless factors at play here. You kind of have to look at your own stats and intended preferences and application to come up with the better length choice for you.

Bob how has your experience been on these at 184, with your height and weight. I am similar at 6'0 and 225. I was really considering these for days with the wife when we are hitting mainly greens and blues and sticking under 30mph. On those days the Justis are still a lot of fun, but my want to go 50mph and just rail carves means I leave my wife behind haha. Looking for something slower and fun, but concerned with my weight.

i am 6,1 and 160 and i've been very happy with the 178. i am sure the 184 would work as well. but considering that i wanted this to be very agile and super easy to go switch and back i still think that 178 was the right choice for me. and it still does great at these small radius carving turns

How fast can you ski with it? I ski at Saas-Fee in Switzerland. I often ski runs that are 5 to 7 kilometers long with a vertical drop of 750 - 1000 meters non-stop 😊⛷️

The straighter you go, the less happy it is--that's just a function of a ski with rocker and a short radius. The tips and tails will become less stable with speed, so it's more at home when engaged within reason to the stated radius.

Ha, fun thing, i actually saw the first Mirus Cor in the 'wild' in Saas-Fee 2 years ago :) It was a dad skiing with his kids (5-8 ish years old) though, so i would not take that as a reference. Given the tracks in Saas-Fee, i think it could work, usually the pitch isn't made for straight lining things, however, i'd prefer something less rockered / more sturdy, especially when you regularly go up to the glacier. Iirc, the Mirus Cor i saw was a rental ski from Cesar Sport, they had Black Crows skis for rent 2 seasons ago. So you might just try it out.
