2025 Nordica Santa Ana Women's Ski Collection Intro and First Impressions with SkiEssentials.com

I as a male skier that cares more about what the ski can give me in terms of experience compared to whether it's a male or female oriented ski will keep considering finally buying a 95+ Santa Ana for those days with 4-5 Inches of powder on top of the groomers. It's a light, playful and overall brilliant ski, my partner enjoys her 84's a lot and my kid loves her 80 S model for junior skiers. I think it's great that female skiers has this model aimed at them, but many male skiers would enjoy the Santa Ana way more than the Enforcer if they just gave it a go. I really hope we get to see that 179 test from you two guys, would be excited to see you ski it and hear your take on some different models in that length and oh, I'm looking forward to Emily's verdict on them as well! Great work as always guys, keep it up!

This is an exciting one for the males to keep an eye on. I think Jeff and Bob are right on to the hunch being an option for the men. My initial thought-this 92 would be a good 50/50 ski playing along the lines of the QST 92, Hustle 9, Fischer Ranger 90. This might be the compromise for those who don’t want 2 full sheets of metal but still want some metal for dampening feel, and stability while keeping some free ride inspiration. Anxiously awaiting your review.

Definitely want to get on the 179 in these skis. I think there's a lot here to offer skiers of all shapes and sizes.

Very informative review. If you were to choose a one quiver ski for skiing in the European Alps, would it be the 92 or the 97?

Probably the 97, mainly since that ski carves so darn well.

I just did a demo day. I thought I was skiing the SA 98 a second time. The ski skied so much differently than my first run that I had loved. After inquiring, I found that the second run was on the 2025 SA 97. It seemed far less stable and tossed me around more in the crud. Is that what you'd expect with more rocker in the tail or could it have been a tuning issue? The 98 seemed a bit heavy but really responsive as we danced through the bumps. I'm leaning toward the 98 before there are none left however I didn't try the 93 as I currently ski an 88 and wanted something with a bit more float. Input?

Tune can always be an issue. Tail rocker does make a difference and adds a slightly less direct character to the ski--the new 97 does feel more playful. The build is very similar. If you liked the 98, then go right for it! The 93 will feel more connected to the snow than the 97 or the 98.

No more 84?? I liked the somewhat. more squared tail of the eighty four. A friend of mine had fairly different experiences on the eighty four compared to the eighty eight. But I guess a rounder tail make sense. I guess it was somewhat overlapping with the wild bell series

Some overlap indeed, and the 84 never really seemed to fit in either category--more of a holdover from the Astral 84 days, which were great skis, but certainly overshadowed by Santa Ana.

I don't know why Nordica assumes that women only like sweet and pastel colors.

Um, you're preaching to the choir here, especially since we did the Enforcer and Santa Ana overview videos pretty much back to back. The Santa Ana graphics are far more appealing and eye catching than the Enforcers.

@@SkiEssentials I see. Most brands do this. That's why my wife and daughter don't buy women's skis, because they don't like them and I don't want to look like for a Barbie. :) I wanted to buy Stance 84 W for my daughter, but when she saw the color, she refused :) From Nordica, only Santa Ana 84 from this year is ok. Next year they are better, more neutral. Well, that's probably what they found out from their market research. :)
