Fun - That was my home track for about 5 years. Left the year before that new detachable was installed. It has lot of "expert" terrain. Early season turns can be a little challenging for beginners. I only skied on Weekdays (about 30 days a year). It's close to Philly which is a blessing and a curse, as you found out.

Nice. Blue is def one of the more consistent places in PA. Def gets crowded. But they added a new high speed 4(?) or 6 pack at the bottom that helps out.

After a warm week they are making snow like crazy. Looking to get there this Sat, (Jan 6). Need to get some runs in before a New York ski trip the following week. I'm 57 and just learned to ski last year. I'm still looking to go down my first blue. I crashed last year on Paradise because I was still captain snowplow! lol. Now I can parallel turn and stop, looking to conquer the hill this year!

Ya love to see it! I finally made it out to Bryce on Saturday and had a great first day of the season, progressed (for me) up through a blue run without falling so feeling stoked. Unfortunately, I think that's going to be it for me until after the New Year, don't want to try and navigate Christmas / New Year holiday crowds at my skill level

Rippin' it man! Looks like a great time and nice to find out about another spot in PA, had never heard of this place before. WV just got a massive dump so looks like that's the hot spot right now. Timberline has everything open but the 2 double diamonds and word is those will be ready this week hopefully. I'm probably going to hit up Cataloochee again this Friday, so hoping it's not too crowded. Unfortunately the big snow dump missed the southern Appalachians, but they've been blowing all week. Still just that one trail open though so I hope they get moving on snowmaking.

Thanks Tekno! WV is definitely the spot to be right now. Timberline is absolutely dominating right now. Not even sure if Snowshoe has a diamond open yet... maybe one. Canaan is looking great too, can't wait to get there this season too! I may just may be heading to Cataloochee this Friday... keep you posted

@@ADHski I think Snowshoe got a pretty big dump and from what they posted on FB they were working on getting Cupp Run etc. opened up this week, but yeah, Timberline is quickly turning into the spot now with all the upgrades they've done. Would be awesome if you can get out there Friday, the weather is looking pretty solid and I saw they got 2 more trails open after snowmaking last night. Just hoping it's not too crowded with that being the start of X-mas weekend.

@@ADHski I'll probably get in between 9-9:30 depending on how the traffic is getting out of town here in the morning. Weather looks good, but been too warm to make snow the last few nights so we are probably looking at the slush monster. Hopefully it's not super crowded in the AM, but I'm worried about the pre-X-mas crowd. I'll keep an eye out for you. I've got a grey Columbia Jacket, black Oakley helmet with either black or green goggles, WV and a sasquatch sticker on the helmet so you can't miss it, lol. Hope to get a few runs in with you!
