HOW DO I GET TO THESE LINES IN VERBIER PLS TELL ME
@AaronSchapman5 жыл бұрын
a lot of them are on "Mont Gelé". When you get up there you don't follow the skiroute but you can go right under the fence as you saw and then keep right or you could follow the first part of the route and instead of going down the right face you cut left over the ridge. The Whole 4 valleés is full of them, not only on Mont gelé, you just have to look.

Where is The first couloir in The video?
@FlecheDeFer9 жыл бұрын
MineStudio68 Disclaimer: I'm not one of these two lads: The couloir is the "South face of Mt-Gelé". Not the classic "Col du Mt-Gelé" track, but the couloir which is slightly left of the Bouquetin, you end up at the top of the La Chaux 4-seats chair. Usually pretty crappy, but that day, for the guys in the video, it was obviously not the case. Then you have (not the correct order because they mixed it up) Chassoure (left side, couloirs starting left of the Gondola station at the top), Mt-Gelé again (North and West), Monts de Sion (walk 5 minutes on the ridge, right side of the Jumbo Gondola top station, actually the best part of the vid) and the classic Ba-Combe (on the right side of Col des Mines, just cut accross the "bowl" all the way to the Paravalanche). There might also be the end of the Stairway, but I assume it is the end of the Grande Journée (Mt-Gelé again) instead (it's the same ending).

+FlecheDeFer I've been to Verbier 6 or 7 times now and I've done pretty much everything except mont gelé. I've been sat at La Chaux a thousand times and wondered where the hell you're supposed to descend that thing. I'll do it this year though, the video makes it look awesome!

Alfred Munkenbeck You want to know how to get to the couloir which goes to La Chaux? Actually, from the top of Mt Gelé, go under the ropes on the right, just out of the gondola (don't walk up like other people do), then ski down the bowl, but try to stay close to the right ridge. You will soon find a "cliff", but no worries, there is a way to go through, a sort of brisge of snow, usually you will have tracks there. Once you've passed that cliff, you can walk 50 meters up to go to the Bouquetin couloir (you will probably see tracks) or go down to your target couloir. Don't go straight down, even if the straight line there is quite tempting. You have to stay as much as possible on the right, i.e. close to the rocks, and you will arrive at the top of the couloir. Good luck, but it should not be a problem.

That one day years ago Verbier had good snow.... (For those who don't know Verbier averages a paltry 120" a year).
