your content is so amazing, disappointed to see the algorithm isnt working in your favor. cant wait to see whats next in regards of your channel. definitely going to try and ride some backcountry up north around here because of this video.

Have fun and get some good maps showing private and public parcels, I think its still an exploratory thing on the North Shore, so chances are out there to find new NE facing lines that need just a bit of trimming of the whippers to make nice open woods. Algorithms are awful and bias, but also the majority of YT users are interested in ski p-rn shots which are more action and take a lot more time and money to produce, so documentary style ski films are only appealing to a slim group.

You make very good content, not sure why you have so few views and subs. Thank you for all of your efforts, I am enjoying your channel. Take care

Thanks, backcountry skiing is still a very niche sport (200k vs 6 million in the US). Also it takes a few years to get good visibility as algorithms for social media in the last few years have been changed to put more weight on those with big numbers and suppress small guys visibility. Andrew Drummond makes good stuff in New England and finally has healthy numbers but it took him a few years.

@@TreasuredHeights I am from New England and spend a lot of time hiking and skiing the Whites, I love Andrew's channel, he does an excellent job of quality content. You are right on the numbers. Take care.

Yo! I was hoping you could try to explain to me where some of those still shots are at exactly. I live on the North Shore and am hoping to check out some of those hucks off of the rock features you showed.

Some are near a tunnel on 61, others are visible from the road, so you will have to scout from the road and see if the base is good enough. Powder on slab is no good, need some firm base to make a lot of that stuff work, so living close to there you have an advantage by waiting until the time is right.

I hope you make a return trip to the Midwest. There are many, better areas for backcountry skiing in Wisconsin and Michigan on public lands.
@TreasuredHeights6 жыл бұрын
Yes, and the best spots in MN were only alluded to with the photos. Im hoping locals can make other films that take it to the next level, showing better conditions, lines and shots. I'll be back to the Midwest and check out Michigan and other spots. Also I've got some other videos shot in the Midwest which will come out after editing.

@@TreasuredHeights I have a couple spots that you probably don't know about that would be great. If you're interested, email me at mshou262@gmail.com
