Next time you're there, try out Chute #9. Not only is it a difficult chute, it is also difficult to find. In between Chutes 8 and 10, given its 9, you'll have to traverse into trees going right as to not miss it. You'll find yourself on a chute around two skis length wide and steeper than most of the other chutes. After a decent or better storm, it is an awesome run you can send. You have to stop at the bottom to see the tree with, "I eat a--" (fill in the blanks) carved into it. You can see it from the chair on the way up.

Damn that fall was sketch 😳 Had a similar situation last weekend where I pushed my limits and it ended up being the worst fall of my life. I sent it off a rock at the beginning of a glade and didn't see that there was another rock sticking out in the landing zone. Landed on that rock and literally front flipped into a tree in front of me at like 25mph. Messed up my back and leg really bad, but didn't break anything so got super lucky. Can't ski for a couple more weeks unfortunately. Definitely an experience I won't forget. Stay safe out there homie, would suck if you got hurt and couldn't shred
@LucasCatania172 жыл бұрын
owen wow man. i am glad you are ok and that it wasnt worse. that sounds awful but hopefully it was a good learning experience to always check the landings of hits like that before hand. it sucks youre out for a few weeks but its better than being out for the season brother.

Great video dude. I was actually at DV around this time as well. As much as I love Daly Chute 4 (my fave on the mountain) I didn’t ski it this year due to the lack of snow. It is always challenging in any conditions but will put a beating on your skis if there isn’t enough snow. I’ve been lucky in that my family purchased a condo near silverlake village in the early 90s (before the Daly’s were even accessible via lift lol) so I’ve been skiing DV for a long time lol. I like Snowbird and Alta better but DV is pretty awesome as well. Definitely try and get back to the Daly’s on a better snow year they are very fun! Gonna be there with the fam over Christmas, early feb and, early march. Looking forward to this season💪💪💪

Hey Lucas - love the videos man. You've definitely been keeping the stoke alive with all this crummy weather we've been having on the ice coast. Just a suggestion for breakfast since you asked; date syrup / organic maple syrup. My girlfriend is in the medical field and a health nut haha. She's really made me more mindful about added/fake sugars, plus i love pancakes haha so she suggested using a syrup with less sugar. Just a little tip that might make that sweet breakfast a little healthier, without sacrificing the taste. Thanks again for pumping out the content, its been very inspiring watching you ski. I used to ski a lot throughout my teenage years and your videos just rekindled the fire. I purchased a used set of Line skis and have been making trips up the mountain every chance i get. Hoping to get out west soon - I've never skied on true powder. All east coast hard pack and with the occasional dusting. But I'm happy to say i have a trip booked up Park City in January of next year. Keep having fun and charging forward man. Cheers!
@LucasCatania172 жыл бұрын
walker thank you man! i definitely could be more mindful with my nutrition, especially when it comes to added sugars - so i will keep that in mind next time i buy syrup haha! and im stoked the videos help reinspire you to get back out there and pick up a pair of skis. the trip to PC next year is going to be epic and i am so stoked for you dude.

7:11 Haha, I call them "Pow bushes" because the skiers tend to avoid them! They're nowhere near as bad to run over on a snowboard. Also it's interesting to see a skier only mountain, the moguls are far more consistent and dense throughout the runs. Not sure I'd want to go there even if they let me tbh
@LucasCatania172 жыл бұрын
They weren’t bushes man. They were a bunch of sticks and small logs sticking up through there! If they were bushes, I woulda skied through them like in my other deer valley video but those were leg breakers for sure!
