DDoA, she skiied through a compression and even dont noticed it. I am sure you will find a place to give mummys girl the right advise how to manage such challenges. Good to see she knows to handle steep hills and she doesnt need to be scare about. I always laugh when she goes down to gain speed. That looks so cute like my australian friends said: a pocket rocket. :-D

I’m going to Austria and i’m scared that the mountains are going to be steep😬 And i’m a scardy cat. But what can i do to keep myself motivated and not scared?
@ThatMountainLife2 жыл бұрын
Don’t avoid the fear. Feel it. Reframing and telling yourself positive stories (vs negative ones) is effective too - but not as important as fully feeling what comes up. Also, start small and build up to steeper runs. It’s a combo of skill progression and mindset.

I was an avid skier when I was younger, and to tell you the truth, I wouldn't let your kids go into the woods. They could lose control and hit a tree and be injured.
@ThatMountainLife2 жыл бұрын
That sounds like your truth!? I cringe anytime my kids take a serious crash - but thankfully they are learning how to be in tune with their abilities, how to navigate risks and even how to deal with injuries. We aren’t invincible and God forbid anything terrible happens - but we don’t live that way. I believe where your energy goes your life goes. Is that hippie dippy? It sure is but I focus on the growth, decision making and independence. Doing dangerous things safely is something I want my kids to learn how to do. I could lose a child in a car accident any day of the week. I could also join them. It’s because of that very fact that skiing through the trees becomes worth it. It’s also green terrain and her about her 235th day on skis. Objectively it’s not as risky as driving on the highway. I’ve ski patrolled full time for 14 years have responded to ski vs tree 4x. Two of them were because of heart attacks and the other 2 were in steep double black diamond terrain!

@@ThatMountainLife I have three names for you to look up - Michael Schumacher, Sonny Bono and Natasha Richardson, all famous adults who died or were seriously injured in ski accidents. Richardson died taking a beginner ski lesson.

@@stevenikitas8170 Your opinion is yours and valid. This might not be the channel for you. Everything in life is RISK. Relationships, business, success/failure. All the best.
@yem20022 жыл бұрын
@steve nikita … and Richardson wasn’t wearing a helmet… same accident could have happened on her backyard, being alive is dangerous enough. Im from the Tropic and hit tbe bunny slope in Colorado for the first time at 37 years old, I was terrified at first until I put my life on perspective, I live in Miami, FL where we have sharks in the beach and traffic is insane,… guess what… I use Miamis exoressways every single day of my life and swim in the ocean all summer long…. after this realization, I started to enjoy skiing, and all holidays are about snow 🙏🏻 if you desagree with the way they embrace life and are raising their children, I suggest you to avoid this channel.
