The battery is probably on its way out that's why the 3.6 volt had more output...imo...👈BIG CAT 🐈

Oh man I'm too used to non-DIY shit, not being able to drive that 3 inch killed me.

I bet this thing just has really weak batteries. My snap on 7.2v drill had nicads from 08 and was completely gutless. I couldn’t even get it to put out enough power to top out the clutch at the half setting. I picked up a battery rebuild kit with NMiH batteries and now it’s pretty spicy for something that small. It really isn’t much different than this Skil internally. It’ll do those screws like nothing. Nice video as always man

I got a makita 6095d, 9.6v from 1993 and same thing original NICADS were failing but new Li-ion just kicks it in the balls and now it runs deck screws fast enough

@@dancearoundtheworld5360 very nice. I need to convert this thing to lithium at some point. The NMiH works very well but there’s performance left on the table I think

@@williamcarnero9595 oh yeah could even just stuff a higher volt motor to make it on par with todays standards

@@dancearoundtheworld5360 I like the form factor of the little drill so thinking of it as a project is fine by me

These are for components, when you need to take apart a laptop or server shelf. Not wood. lol

Not even close to a M12 equivalent but just needs less brain and more battery.
