This video provides an overview of Amatrol’s Skill Boss Manufacturing. This training and assessment system allows users to install, adjust, and troubleshoot components on a fully functional mechatronics system and can evaluate an individual’s performance in more than 60 essential manufacturing skills. This system is used by MSSC for CPT Plus certification.
The Skill Boss Manufacturing system performs a real-world sorting and finishing process. It features an electric motor, variable frequency drive, human-machine interface, pneumatic pick-and-place module, a variety of sensors, and plastic and metal blocks for performing quality tests and sorting.
The hands-on skills covered by the Skill Boss Manufacturing system span four assessment areas: Safety, Quality, Production Processes, and Maintenance Awareness. Users demonstrate their knowledge and abilities by performing hands-on skills such as demonstrating lockout/tagout procedure; measuring and verifying that shaft runout falls within a specified tolerance; navigating menus on an HMI; adjusting a pneumatic lubricator’s drip rate; and more!
