Skill Crystal Shortage in Watcher of Realms: Dev Insights vs Reality

Finally a cc that is talking about this issue idk why everyone isn’t raising hell about this situation I’ve been playing this game about 500 days and have 85 hero’s only 34 of which that are max skilled. We clearly don’t get enough skill crystals and here they are taking away one of the best events for us to obtain them it’s just shady and a real slap in the face to the player base.

LoL, I think that is very much my view; however I tried to flower it up a bit. 🤣. It this is just so they do not have to fix the 5 star Psychic power it is wrong, otherwise it is just shady, it is easy to not do events like CoG while the main events for the holidays is on as most people will not notice that it has been missed. 😀

Same here. 250 days in. Lot of leggos but about 1/3 fully skilled up

Oh, nice. that would really shake things up over which mount to pick from, you could use whatever mount. Bara if you want gleaming fragments or your new one if you wanted more skill crystals. 🥳

Valid point well made. They should include skill crystals as campaign rewards and more in day to day content as well as the events.

It feels like they stopped doing Corridor of Glory to give us the crystals from the xmas events instead. so there was no increase of income, more a shifting

Events are supposed to give additional rewards, rather than moving normal rewards into events.

Yeah I saw a few videos a while back of people complaining about having to do corridor of glory and though I disagreed I felt like hopefully they don’t change it but they did not that it was those creators fault but we definitely need it or something to get skill crystals reliably . I think it’s wild I’ve been playing this game over a year and still most of my heroes (legendary) are not fully skilled.

Yeah, it is a nightmare to fully skill up all your heroes, you very much have to see what skills you need / are required and hope you can land the crystals in there; more often than not they don't or maybe it just feels like that. 🤣. I would be happy with really good solid epics that can do the job. 😀🤞

both agreeing and disagreeing. Agreeing in, they should bring Corridor of Glory back to previous state. I have never horded so many common and uncomment in my tap and summons vault, and to give us the 2 crystals farmable per week/biweekly. Else, who even needs to do XP raids anymore... But, I disagree with the fact that you should have for all chars, rather you should save them and use them, when a new shiny appears. It is both a business model for Moonton to keep the lvl low, but there should also be decisions to make for the player in who to invest into, skill crystals, Soulstones etc.

Yeah, I would say that is a fair statement. I forgot to put in about the Exp raid being pointless as I get enough to level up my heroes from the mine now. I used to like the CoG event, I used to like that you were better off / rewarded being on the game, collecting your resources and managing them. I used to make sure that once a week or so I had to run a few raid EXP stages and put a days worth of stamina into it so when the event hit I could smash it out. This kept me at a point where I could probably do about 50% - 75% of my heroes now it is not even close to that. 😀

I once had a horrible run, like 6 months missing every banner and not managing to pull any new heroes. The good part of being unlucky was that I ended up with dozens of unused skill crystals since I had no good heroes to spend them on. At some point I started skilling up random rabble, just because I had too many skills lying around. Just be unlucky and all your troubles will go away!

LoL, that is one way to look at it, just get heroes that do not need / require levelling up. I am not sure that most people will see that as a winning strategy and would rather be lucky. 😀🤣 Sorry to hear about your luck mate, you wait till it changes and you run out. 🥳😀

I hope they change their mind. 500 to 1000 of the corresponding dust for a crystal would be a short and long term improvement. As well as increasing player choice. Good video

@Misstical-sd9uy True. I play a couple of gachas, and WoR seems to have a lot of self-inflicted issues. More so than others. I'm gonna keep playing as long as it's fun, though.

Thanks for spotlighting this issue. I was telling a newer to the game guild mate of mine before the whole rigged summons fiasco that skill crystals come in time and eventually you start to build up a stockpile of them seeing as how I had 33 of them sitting around and really no one game changing to put them into. Since then they have basically stopped doing Corridor of Glory and without the summons being rigged against me I've actually been pulling some really good heroes and my stockpile had dwindled drastically. I can't skill up some really good and needed heroes like Cyrus, Aeris, Calista, and Init because I had to use them on more widely useful champs like Praetus, Elowyn, Wukong, Talula, Lucius and Torador. And let's not even mention the 30 other legendaries that I deemed "not worth the crystals."

That is a nice selection of heroes you have been getting lately though, bloody shame you can't skill them up. 🤣 I don't think it will be much of a spotlight; however as this is a very small channel, still we can hope they see it. 👍😀

I noticed this nine months ago. There is an enormous shortage of this mat Compared to the ridiculous schedule of new champions and the revenue they generate from such they need to come the fk off of it

WoW, has it been going on that long? Yeah, the sheer number of heroes they bring out into the game, it is no where near enough to keep up. Maybe take some time to bring some nice epics into the game.😀

Yep. They throw a bone to f2p. I get it. But, I doubt I'll play much longer if content doesn't keep up over heros. It's literally cookie cutter, no goals or anything else like trials. 7 months no laurel or Silas. Now arena is stacked past plat 2. Lucky I get there with xaris and that's not even skill.

The only way to really increase the quantity of crystals is to increase the drop rate on GB1. Raid had this thing on lock back when I played it, I would almost every 2 days get a lego skill tome from top guild boss but there was a monthly cap on it so you could at most get 12 - 15 tomes per month unlike wor where it's completely random and you can go a month without getting 1. I always had enough lego skill tomes in raid but I was never able to get enough 5* food to level the heroes up. WoR inverts this problem with exceptionally shitty/random GB1 rewards. Increase the drop rate and introduce a monthly cap (10 skill crystals per month, 2 unpolished stones, 1 polished stone... none guaranteed but all capped at those numbers). Reward the players that play the damn game on a daily basis

Yeah it would be nice if they added them to GB1, so that you would get a set amount each month instead of just a random chance. I know when I was playing RSL, there was a shortage of them; however it was never this bad, I was always after them, but the number of heroes that come out that are great is insane, and then the number of crystals you need here also goes up. However I don't think they will add a minimum to the guild boss chest, as they just said they would not add a pity count to the soulstones, so I can't see them making a set number guaranteed. 🤞😀

They could help us out by changing the skills to selectable, rather than random!! At least that means most people can pick the most import skill with the first 6 !!

LoL, Can't see that happening. When the game came out, the Basic attack never had any levels to it, they introduced the levels to get you to spend more skill crystals. 🤣😀

I used to believe that it was an overlook by developers for the hero training and corridor of glory to disappear during new hero events. But now I firmly believe they do it on purpose. Either it is to purposely not give us these rewards and make it look like the evnts rewards are better then they are OR the developers are to lazy to incorporate the special event items to the events so they replace certain rewards instead. Either way it seems to be bait and switch and getting sick of it.

It does seem a little on the shady side. If you are going to answer the question of CoG events by stating you are going to run them more often, then you need to run them more often. It is not like we cannot read. 🤣😀🥳

It's a gotcha. Gotta make money to pay to keep going. But, you're right. I had 6 crystals saved hoping to get ares or wu and nope. Used them elsewhere. I got 20 summons now and bet money that'll pull Silas or something from a previous banner I didn't get. Then this weekend nothing had I waited.

Ive only maxed out arrogance, volka, almost hex and twyla. If theyd create more goals or chllaenges than trials itd pass time. There's no balance.

Half of the skill ups should be dust and the other half should be crystals, at a minimum.
