Surprised you didn't mention the ammo and repair costs. If your tank is damaged or destroyed, you have to pay to repair it. Every shot fired also has a specific money cost. Both of these scale up the higher tier your tank is. After I hit tier 7 I realized I was actually losing money every match by playing with my new tier 7 tank. The repair and ammo costs made it so that I had to not get hit, not miss any shots, and kill at least 3 players every match to profit. This is not realistic when matchmaking against other players. I guess the idea is to force you to get money booster. Once my eyes were opened to this predatory bullshit I never played World of Tanks again.

World of tanks has such a high barrier of entry where a player with 10k battles (each taking between 8-15 minutes) is still considered a newbie. Personally I find it slightly more accessible than warthunder ground forces, but nowadays at least in NA it feels that there's a lot of try hards and few new players, at least that's how it felt a few years ago before I quit.

Premium account speeds up your progress way more than 50%. I would say it effectively doubles if not triples research speed when paired with personal reserves and daily x3 bonuses which allows player to reach tier 10 in a week or less. Skill aspect plays a role but will be rendered useless when one needs to face 29 people ("teammates" too, yes). All the turbo games where score is either 3:15 or 15:3 under 5 minutes do not contribute to fun factor either. Not even mentioning random factors that can either help you or bring absolute misery, +-25% is just too much. Overall the game is heavily monetised and designed around FOMO + it has a trend of releasing *lootboxes* & *auctions* at basically every occasion.

Nice. There was a time I used to enjoy that game, before they turned the p2w to the max. There is kind of infinite progression - crews have skills that you can boost with real cash. The rebalance tanks so you need to grind other tanks or pay for the new best thing. 50% is probably a good score, as the matchmaker will sometimes be good and let you play with the noobs.

This is perhaps the only game I've played that ACTIVELY discourages you to play it. You join a battle, get a couple of kills, have some fun, and then die and see the end of battle screen. Result? You've lost a SHIT ton of credits. The game is directly telling you that you're doing something wrong and should change tactics. AKA spend money and get a premium account. Fuck this game.

I playes this game from beta, i have over 50.000 battles and almost all level 10 tanks are unlocked and bought. I paid only for premium /monthly nothing else, I enjoyed the game for many years. I love your content but sadly some of your statements are very wrong. The games its player skill related. You can spend as much money as you want and your advantage will be ZeRO. It's a team game and you need knowledge about tanks' soft spots and spotting range, terrain advantage, blind spots, and so on. All the money in the world spent on this game won't make you win the fight.

i put way too much time into this pos game growing up it's 100% "pay2progress", and 100% has pay2win, via the premium ammo which requires you to plough money into a premium subscription, and premium tanks to generate currency to fund premium ammo oh, and not to forget the blatant bias towards russian tanks being the most OP

the premium ammo costs credits not gold anymore we are not playing in 1960 anymore where it is pay2win i would say people who have no idea should not talk tbh this whole video is kinda shit like you can grind a tank from tier 1 to tier 10 in 1 week idk why people make it sound so hard you get multiple ways to get there the premium accont is not even needed if you play on a normal basis since you can even grind premium tanks at some events

Again you are missing main point. it takes 2-3 days to grind tier 10 tank and your tier 10 tanks is exactly same as your enemies tier 10 tank, and there are 30 players in battle. op premiums? well, you still meet tier 10 tanks as tier 8, and you are fodder to them. no one cries though, because they are used to it. before talking about pw2, just think about how wot works. 5% difference between players, 55% winrate vs 60% winrate, is about as big as in league of legends between gold and diamond. Your realistic impact on 29 another players is not really that big. And to win more than statistical average you have to bust your ass off, fighting mostly rng.
