Thank you SO MUCH for giving tips for left handers. Most videos just assume we either don't exist or should just get with the program and do it the right handed way. If I were a patient, I wouldn't want anyone doing anything with their weaker hand on me.

Great refresher! Starting my 1st early morning shift at the hospital I got hired with today. Been a month since I last drew blood, and this refreshed my memory! Appreciate you using tourniquet application like I was taught. All of the other videos I have watched are for different application methods.

This was so helpful! I learned how to draw blood in an orientation class today for a new job and left feeling confused about how to tie the tourniquet. I want to make sure I have this down before I have any patient interaction and this video helped me improve drastically! I feel much more confident about taking blood now :)

Im a certified Phlebotomist. It's pretty easy to tie a tourniquet. Don't tie it too tight or it can damage the blood sample due to affecting the red blood cells.

What gets me, is almost every person who has ever drawn my blood, takes far longer than one minute! Some video “pros” take too long as well…using a real arm!
@LeviT9862 Жыл бұрын
Then again, I’ve never heard “then again” or just “again” said again and again, that many times in a ten minute period. Lol Great information but it was difficult to keep from getting distracted by the overuse of that word whenever it was said.

I’m not sure what you are watching. I said, “again” to reinforce what I stated. If that’s a problem then you might want to watch and find another video.
