hi Skill, do you still recommend this tank for ht15 or are there any faster heavies you recommend as well. I checked out you mission guides but noticed they were a bit old, figured you might have new recommendations

VK100.01 P is the perfect example of why +2 Matchmaking is outdated. If you face this in a tier 6 heavy you can go and eff yourself. Some tanks have a hard time even penetrating the side and rear, thanks to 25% RNG, so flanking it is not always a good solution either.

Just my lot? I played the VK 100.01 and the infernal MM always threw me to the wolves - 50% mediocre teammates three out of five games, meeting OP tier nine purple players that penned the copula and made me looking for pasta sauce recipes because they made into a tomato all the frigging time.

Same....I have like a 38% WR in this POS. Basically, I end up two tiers DOWN regularly. I'm never in games with T6 tanks...that would be GREAT. Rather, I'm facing T10 "studs" who turn this thing into slow-moving target practice.

This is arguably the best of all the german super-heavies and fun to play. The VK 100.01 has a thick and trollish armour layout which bounces even a significant amount of incoming gold. The gun is not not the most accurate but somehow it works better than the paper values suggest. Also the VK 100 has the turret towards the front which makes it so much easier to play.

Yeah and it has also the shape of a pyramid so the shots many times bounce in many interesting ways. Here we had 3 battles with Skill not showing too many sidescraping moments and still easily doing like 4.3k damage blocked, that shows how strong this tank is. For bouncing damage, only the KV-4 could be similar to the VK.

I used to shoot french wheeled vehicles in this thing and it 60% worked, very satisfying seeing that EBR getting -500 hp

I love the VK100.01P. I play the tank with DPM Snipergun and APCR only to compensate for low penetration on AP and overall premium tanks. This can carry quite good as long as not flanked to hard.

I love this tank. I have some of my best games in this tank. It’s genuinely got a good gun and good alpha. You have to play smart because obviously it’s got a big forehead of a weak spot but I like this tank more than the T9. I run vents, a turbo with a mobility slot, and a bounty rotation mechanism with a very good crew and I will always average about 2.5k to 3k damage games with over 2k 3k damage blocked even with T10 games. Love this tank!

I also bought the vk 100.01p during the top of the tree and I absolutely love it. Yes it can be annoying at times when games are too fast and against t10, but it's probably the only super heavy in my opinion at higher tiers that is actually usable

You can hate me but I play this tank with first gun (it's actually top gun of VK45 02A, believe it or not). It has god like gun handling, beast DPM and shitton of ammo so you can take a lot of gold shells to compensate low pen. And to be honest, the armor is not lasting against tiers X so low pen isn't that big of a problem when you already are not competitive while being bottom tier. Just try VK with first gun in FL, you'll fall in love garantee!

Ahh yes the gorgeous VK100.01P, one of the rare German tank with decent armour. I recently unlocked this tank because it was part if the On Track to Maus tech tree line. Didn't play it because I don't have any proper 6-men crew yet and I don't want to spend 1,200 gold. Can't wait to play it though I think the top gun penetration (220/260/65) somewhat lacking. Day 5: Skill could you please feature Panzer 58 pls?

I rarely bounce very much in this. After the first 2-3 bounces, enemies just press 2 and armour becomes dead weight. Maybe I'm anling too much or too little, but the results are the same. :(

This tank is bad even in tier 8 match-making because when other heavy tanks load premium they go straight through your turret cheeks and the cupola. I was excited to get it but ended up hating it. I tried angling the turret while side-scraping but it did not help. Hiding the cupola doesn't always work because of the map itself or what side you're on.

On rare occasions it seems to work, but I assume that is when I encounter the few players who are less experienced at those tiers. but for reasons unknown to me, it just seems like my armour is overmatched at all and any angles. I want to try to blame this on my lack of skill as a player and that I can improve over time. It doesn't help much that the 128mm gun no longer seems viable, even at Tier VIII. Penetrations are a rarity with it, even when firing gold. Accuracy also seems to be sorely lacking. I can't help but feel that maybe it's not all my fault.

I sold this tank because everyone spams premium ammunition at it. It suffers the same problem as the Maus. Great vehicle, but it's armour is such a big part of its kit that as soon as they start firing premium ammo. An object 140 can side scrape better then a maus when it's on a flank of gold spammers.

This tank is bad in todays meta. Not average but bad. Too slow, terrible mobility stats across the board, bad gun and dps, unreliable armor because everybody will pen you premium. Simply not worth the hype. I'm saving you a lot of sweat and grind to get this outdated tank.

This tank is epic only if it's top tier...but every tank is epic if it's top tier. In the reality of the game in 12 games it is low tier 10 times. Gun is bad. That above shot into the skorpion maybe hits the target 1 in 3 times. Over 300 m it barely hits the tank, not to mention weak spots. The reload is dreadful...an autoloader with gold loaded will send you to the garage. The speed even with turbo is bad, very bad. Playing hull down is virtually impossible. All you can do is sidescrap and wait for that 1 in 20 games you are top tier.
