The tank is more like a panther with worse mobility, worse dpm but more alpha. So play it accordingly, that said it would be great to get buffed to some extend, either give it some actual armor or give it 280 alpha while adjusting the reload speed.

Tiger 1 have much stronger front turret than this tank, so technically Tiger is already better armored thank than this one, cuz u can play hull down pretty well.

It's okay as a tank but considering the fact Rev, Cyka Pershing, Mod 1, STA are similarly priced I don't think it's worth getting on that basis alone. A bit stronger turret and/or Tiger I's current gun (with lower DPM) would probably make it worth it.

I love Tiger II. As this as Tiger II prototype and this being in Bovington Museum is one of the rare prototype tanks that have survived, which gives me this tank so much more added value. Its sad that this tank is in current state. I still have fun with this tank though. Gun soft stats are amazing and I do feel quite comfortable in this tank, shooting fully aimed hits almost always seem to pretty well. Yeah this is not best tank and if you spend money, you have so much better tanks to buy... Like Löwe for true German heavy tank feel and making credits.

Before the King Tiger, this used to be my favorite premium tank. You don't value the gun, but I think it has pretty solid stats for a tier7 heavy tank. 0.3 accuracy and sub 2sec aim time if I remember correct. Also when it was published, WG said it earns credits with the same multiplier as a tier8, which I'm not sure. But it's a solid tank, you just need to play clever in it. And remember it doesn't have any armor, especially if people know where to shoot it (you can't hide the weakspot). Which is the whole turret.

Heh, this video made me play my 45.03 again and I just got Ace wanker + T55A HT-7 (3k damage + capture base, eww). I love this tank, I just wish it had the mobility of the VK 45.02A. I'm waiting for that great Vk 30.02 D video that I know is eventual coming! We want the D!

Its like premium Tiger 1 you lose 500 Base Dpm but with better gun handling and more armor and litlle better mobility.

thx Baboon King for the video. only 1 request from me yesterday and BOOOM. sadly the tank is not great, but the older premiums rarely are. sadly too, there are not much middle tier german premium heavies too, only tier8 is having some more with e75TS, loewe, wallbreaker and some of teh slippers. do i think about getting one of these middle tiers like VK45.03 or the tiger131... i have to think twice or three times....

Last game you had some paid actors hahaha This 88 - 90 mm guns are very funny Sometimes they work so smooth sometimes they F so hard.

This is in many ways the better version of the AMX M4 45, with similar armor (read - nonexistent) and a faster firing 240 alpha gun (becuase when WG updated the 88mm guns on the tech tree and some premium tanks, they of course did nothing with this, because consistency has never been thier strong suit). Now, I do like it, but that's more due to my love of the Tiger II, and this looks a lot like it. In game turms, I'd still say the Tiger I is much better, and they both have to play a more supporting sniper heavy role, instead of the active brawler (as the second game showed really well).

Questionable... AMX can mount the 105 mm gun and has a significantly better power to weight ratio. This allows you to trade and you can use it like a medium tank.

My comment was more based on if you just use the 90mm, as that feels a lot more unreliable on the AMX than the 88mm on the VK, even though the stats aren't too different on paper. So to summarize - AMX with 90mm, worse than the VK. AMX with the 105mm, better than the VK. Now, if they have the VK the same 280 alpha as on the Tiger I... I think I'd have to say that the AMX is still better with the 105mm, if only just.

This tank is not a bad tank. It should be played conservatively and used as a sniper and you will have more productive games. Playing this tank too aggressively will send you back to the garage very quickly.

sadly the tank has no preferential mm according to Wot-Portal. When you are lucky you see a whole week with a takn only +1 MM and even som equal tiers and high tiers MM. More often this is not the case

Well its all true, the 45.03 needs at least a DPM buff, but than the King Tiger also needs a better working gun.

When i first got it... It was sort of ok. But nowadays its just a trashcan. No armor fcking horrible gun... I mean u cant trade u dont have dpm u dont have alpha... And softstats are not great either. Its just a waste of time playing this
