Of all the years I’ve done fascias and struggled like mad on my own at times in the winter wind and rain off of ladders cursing the very day I ended up doing roofline, this will make my life so much easier 🤣 WHY HAVE I NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS?! You are a genius!

A couple of years ago I did something similar to help brace a Ketter poly shed against wind gusts while I got all 4 walls screwed together. My version comprised a 3M length of 75x30 with a U shaped off cut screwed to one end and a matching cut off clamped to the other end. They worked a treat [I made two of them], the slots were deep enough [about 300 mm] to get a good grip on the wall panels and it was a piece of cake to relocate them as I worked around the walls. Simple but effective.

I've heard these referred to as Dutchman’s Pants and you make them whatever size you need to space or bracket things. Of course being a Dutchman myself I always forget about the pants and end up using pieces of string and clamps and blocks with nails through like everybody else.

@@I-am-not-a-number There speaks a man who works on site and has had to deal with Architects.! Worked on so flats recently, the carpenters were doing the Mansard Roof, they kept asking the site agent for the drawing for the north elevation. He kept saying, "It is all on the PDF you have been sent." I was the bricklaying foreman, when we went up there to build some internal walls, I noticed the plans faded out towards the north elevation. I raised this with the site agent. He called the architects who said they would get back to him. It turned out they had just forgotten to do the drawings for the north elevation on the top floor!
