Something that was failed to be mentioned about the Aatrox change from physical damage on those spells to magic damage. This was designed to be a nerf to Lethality Aatrox. It's not a massive nerf, but one of the reasons for it.

the stridebreaker buff actually fits samira even better than before now that the CD on duskblade is lowered to a 30sec proc. you can activate the stridebreaker while in the E animation granting your E a slow, plus the mythic passive movement speed stacks with samiras passive.

@@Darion350 every thing sounds good until you find out there are patches in which a champ like Annie is S+ tier on Master+ in midlane and support, played even in the professional field and patches in which a champ like malphite is OP on toplane even on Masters+. I genuinely think nobody is going to queue up and ban whatever they see in this video instead of what they feel like banning. However these videos/blogs are there to let you know what can be strong and what can't based on stats and gameplay. For example, challenger toplaner might never play Malphite nor fear him but he will never deny how strong he is compared to the others toplaners. Its gameplay, stats and possibilities don't make him an unstoppable force but it doesn't make him useless than everybody else that is mechanically "gifted"

Because Shojin buffs are broken as fuck on Hecarim and Manamune isn't really changed so it's still as big of a powerspike. Besides Hecarim heals less, yes, but this can be fixed with building Shojin, Rav Hydra, Manamune.

As a VI Main, I can 100% tell you that it's a buff. The passive changes are great, 4 second cd reduction instead of 3 is huge + 10% hp shield is amazing too. R from Vi has always been used as mobility to chase a flash or stop someone to get away or supress a carry, the dmg isn't the main point of the skill. TL:DR It's a buff BUT J4, Kayn, Nocturne and Xin Zhao will do better this patch because of the Stridebraker and Goredrinker buff, anyway ty Riot from a main Vi player.

As a vi main, I feel the polar opposite. It helps her clear but her dueling potential (pretty much the point of early vi) is just gone. She already barely has enough damage with how long her cooldowns are early. Late game it won't matter as much, but none of these changes really affect her late game other than the passive. She still has worse scaling than comparable junglers. If they really wanted to go away from assassin vi (which is a mistake to begin with imo), they need to give her some form of stick so she isn't hard countered by "literally just walk away". She needed a buff a slight buff, not a "balance"

Core support item nerfed because Yone uses it, catchup XP nerfed because of jungle, but it is a nerf to support because they are always down a few levels. Support gets nerfed because of things they have nothing to do with and get 0 compensation. these balance changes are... crazy.. to say the least. instead of buffing ori, tf and zoe directly they should really just do a mage item rework. alter AP items and actually give mages a chance to spike before getting 11k gold while ad champs are full build levels of dmg at bork/duskblade/triforce LOL that would also solve their AD bruiser kat problem and make AP bruisers and battle mages actually, potentially have an interesting core build. and play in an interesting way that isnt "lower range lux" seriously play a mage and dont build ludens>shadowflame/voidstaff>rabadon. you will cry blood. mythic item "rework" just made mage core less gold eficient and added nothing new at all. so so stale at this point (and dont try to tell me RoA is good for the game i try to forget it the way it is now)

I dont think the items are the problem, but the mages themselves. You can take a look at any champion or even type of champion, it doesn't matter if its ADC, tank, mage, support or bruiser, everybody builds the same. Almost every assassin goes edge of night, prowlers and even axiom arc. Every bruiser likes to build death's dance/steraks, black cleaver and even R. Hydra nowadays. Every tank goes Force of Nature, Sunfire and Thornnail. Every peel supp goes the same peel items and meanwhile ADCs have a more diverse builds they always build the same each game. Mages have a shit ton of mythic items to choose from. They range from DoT, damage reduction, scaling sustain and burst damage. The issue is that a mage with only 1 item isn't as powerful as other champs (unless you are an AoE mage with Liandrys). They need more AP and stats, which is a bit of a deal in an early game meta

Can we get some love for lee sin? He should be good in early and mid game but most of the champs can easily kill him in the jungle. His gank potential is really low when the laner has no cc. His jungle clear is slow if we compare to other champs. His late game is dead if you don't take risk and try to do a good kick. There should be too many specific things to happen at the same time in order to get a win with lee sin. You can not say that lee is really got at doing something.

IMO there is always 1-2 champs that benefit from an item or rune and break it, so riot nerf this item and noone uses it or dont want to use it. They should just ad something like (slow on this item is 90% effective on [character name]). We often see that with jhin, ezreal, jax and some hybrid characters.

So in sum, it looks like this. Midlane mages will continue being 'meh' (except Zoe, Vex, Lux and Orianna getting more unnecessary damage? - Riot, damage is not the solution.) and AP Bruisers are still happy. 200 years champions still generally getting love (including Trashkan and Samira?). More AD bruisers are getting a bit extra health and yet another gets AP damage(?!). Shiv still does AP damage (making Zeri/Kaisa annoying). We'll be seeing an even more annoying version of Lux support. And while on the topic of supports, there will be a trickle over effect from the jungle catchup xp nerf, engage supports will be suffering with evenshroud nerfs and still no decent magic resist option for enchanters.
