I think demo warlock should be A. I played A LOT of both destruction and demo for the past few weeks and have found demo to be better. The problem with destruction is you need a tank that routes around destructions 3 minute CD and pulls big, which most often doesn’t happen. I find myself having to hold infernal making it a massive dps loss. For typical routes demo is far superior. I’ve had more success with demo in the +13 range. I’m sure destruction is better at the highest keys when the team plays around you, but for a majority of people watching this, demo is where it’s at. Similar to last season. Plus, boss fights are usually where the key is won or lost, demo feels way better for bosses

@@FGCDean Exactly, the 2 min cd of demo is just too helpful. If you mess up your infernal timing and its not up for boss with lust its huge set back. Way easier to time CDs throughout the run as demo. I experimented with 2 minute infernal for pugging but it just wasnt as good as demo at that point. The main strength of destro is the god tier 3 min aoe but if its not being utilized correctly its actually a C tier spec imo

Every season is always a healer's nightmare though, and that's why healers are quoting so much, they are done overhealing your mistakes or being blamed for that one shot you got because Blizzard decided to your the agency to not get one shoted by giving you a defensive which you didn't use or a CC that it to prevent your death simply because it either takes less 0.1 calories to press the button for and also around so to think about it.

No other time have I felt the need to buff tanks. I am a forever brewmaster who went VDH last season...and the fact I could never die in keys other them FUBAR defensives on tyrannical bosses, what is even fortified 27s; the only skill associated with VDH is knowing how to open up a big pull. Once you start defensive ramping on mobs GG.. I am fighting for my life as a brewmaster monk in season 4 it is crazy.

Man these tier lists are misleading af, he mentions how good some specs are for high keys vs low keys. But then he ranks, some of the best dps for lower keys up to 12-13 range such as MM as C tier?. I'm a rogue main, and this season I've been trying multiple specs for each class, I'm constantly topping the meters as off-meta specs on the key range I mentioned. Unless you're doing 15-16's+ literally don't listen or care about this tier list (which let's be honest if you're a player doing high keys you are probably not watching these kinda videos).

It's because these are based on popularity, not actual function. The top 1% of players is who determines what's "best" for the season, because everyone wants to emulate them, so whatever they choose to play on, is what everyone else makes into a "meta". It's a sheep mentality.

Ive had my eye feral for years. I want it to be something other than the red headed step child of the melee group but if it is, it will be the vengeance DH of melee so I don’t know what I want from feral. If it was something like WW which is the middle of the pack, that would be nice, tuned to be above average but not trash would be ideal. Yes I’d like to see your thoughts on it SC.

That comp is about as meta as you can get without playing any of the top 5 specs... you are literally building a comp around raid buffs that does really well with smaller pull pacing, and all melee so positioning for pres is trivial. Also, bdk +pres is very strong due to time dilation.

@@Dontaethefist that's true, in season 1 the group I played with we ran an off-meta comp. We had a BDK, PEvoker, Outlaw, Enha and SPriest. We struggled in some keys but made it work, we nearly got 0.1% for title, but the grind became too much lol.

As an Affliction main, currently holding #1 spot world on ladder as affliction, I can confirm, it should be pushed up 1 tier at least. It's not "BEST" but it should be a solid workable spec for rank 1. Although, most people are just lazy and goes for the easy meta rain of fire clicker Destru spec. Reality is, no affliction warlock is playing with a team, all pugging. Sole reason.

So I am curious, what needs to happen for hunters to come into A or S tier, is it survivability and utility that puts them down? I get that if they were doing the best dmg they would creep in there but that seems to not happen ever. Also what was surprising with the meta for yo guys this season. Shadow Priest is still there and Mage and Lock and Retri and Rogue. Resto druid and Vengeance were also in the top in season just like most of the top DPS

In the high keys, it's not just about damage. Utility, I would argue, is much more important. You'll have to ask yourself two questions in order to identify if your spec should be ranked higher. 1. What else does the spec bring that can benefit the group? Utilities below are highly sought after. -AoE stops (probably the most important one when planning for large pulls) -dispells -enrage dispells for enraging weeks -methods to skip enemies or cheese mechanics (such as wyrmstone for treemouth, assuming that hasn't been fixed yet) -group-wide defensive -battle rez -hero/lust -etc. 2. Can it survive high bursts of damage or consistant incoming damage? How much are you needing to rely on the healer to keep you alive? If you can get to a point to where the healer doesn't have to worry about you much, then they can take on other tasks, such as dealing with affixes or dealing some dps.

@@corysteiner1218 this is what I am after. But it also means that unless hunter is super ahead in dmg they will never reach the meta. Last I can remember was BM that was in the meta in BFA season 4 of the ranged ones. Just feels like it is a cluster of specs that alternate being in the meta and some others that never or almost never reach it, talking about DPS. Most of them have a plethora of utility or survivability or both and some other classes are very lacking which something I wish Blizz would look at.

I don't mean this in a disrespectful way or anything, just stating a fact that the top 20 Assassination rouge average mythic + timed is around a 13 - 14. That's pretty low. (Average of a Destro is 18 / Average of Shadowpriest is 20). That 2 Assassination rouges you see, are like the top .01 percent. They must be incredible players that found some sort of exploit/trick that they're gatekeeping.

Ilvl counts a bit, what's more useful is your spec knowledge and dungeon knowledge. With 495 you could do +10 keys. I reccomend you to just start playing keys and go as high as you can.

I main a resto druid. 8s get you mythic track vault pieces so you don’t really need to go higher then that for gearing. 10s are good to do once for the portals. At 495 though, I’d stick to 2-6 range depending on the team. Lots of things are outta your control such as when the tank pulls big on fort weeks or dps don’t interrupt and/or stand in swirlies but lots of things can be done as a rdruid such as catweaving and disrupting shout on cd. You could probably manage an 8 but it would be stressful and dependent on the team doing well too. But you can basically just run 2-5 until the crests don’t help you anymore. The tome from azure vault is really good for us but you have to go balance loot spec for it to drop. Yumytv (growl) has a rdruid m+ guide for s4 if you want to be sure you’re getting the most outta the spec. Good luck!

I don’t agree with assassination, I think it’s the most fun rogue spec and doesn’t need to shy away on dmg meters aswell. Even with bis weapons on outlaw and mediocre weapons for assassination, I like the way assassination plays a lot more then outlaw. And there are lots of m+ people that can really make it shine.

As a long time feral Druid player I can tell you what’s up, the devs have absolutely no idea what to do with the spec so they keep adding random bandaids every few years to try and make it work and it doesn’t. The DF rework for feral is mid at best, and even though the class can do relatively decent damage right now, it is absolutely not in a good spot.

R3 pally is definetly S tier. Decent Single target, one of the best AoE dps with 60s burst window that many dps cannot even compare to that. Dont forget massive utility like BoF, cleanse, Lay, combat ress. This Class is just made for M plus content. King.

I swapped playing Destro to Demo. Destruction is for top meta.. I don’t see pulls that size in 12+ keys. Demo is easy 500k+ in all dungeons. I’m around 380k+ with Destruction, but I won’t neglect the fact they pump in monster pulls.

Another problem for the Survival Hunter is that changing the T-Set only meant a DPS loss. You farm together items that are up to 30 Ilvl higher than the previous season, so that on average you do 30k to 50k less dps than the previous season. A slap in the face for an already underrepresented class.

Tanks need a serious look going into war within. Vengeance felt so fun and your control made you feel like the group was really on and at your back while you spear headed the team through the dungeon. They needed to buff other tanks with damage/control/survivability. What was their answer? Nerf Vengeance. Of course Vengeance is still Meta... Literally and figuratively. I hope all tanks can bring some control and stability in war within.

Demo is better for ~13 keys. Sure doesn't do giga aoe, what it does do is good aoe consistently every pull. I play both and i prefer demo myself. My group prefers demo in most dungeons except the few big pull keys.

My tier list Classes that get invited: Vdh, resto druid, mage, aug, shadowpriest, destruction warlock and ret palladin. Go play pandaria remix or have a team: All the other classes/specs. Idk whats going on with balance team but they suck at their job, we are in another god comp situation, melees are perma fucked (-palladins that are ranged after rework) every dungeon punishes melees 1000x more than rdps, rdps have more dmg more utility more of everything...

Make a feral video. You seem to be unaware of its potential. You placed it below a spec with little utility while feral can bring damage and utility (CC: double stun rake, SM stun rake, melee interrupt, incap roar, ursol's vortex, typhoon, soothe, decurse, root. Self sustain: free regrowths, renewal, frenzy regen auto proc, frenzy regen on use, barkskin, survival instincts, bear form) . I'd suggest doing the research before arbitrarily labeling any spec. You put Boomy between A/B because they bring MotW...? You identifed them as bad yet place them up top. Seems sus. From a damage perspective we have uncapped aoe. I've hit 3M a good number of times. We can spec into funnel if needed and have competitive ST dmg even in our M+ builds.

Blame the players, not the game. Tier lists represent what the upper potential of a spec is. It isn’t going to dictate the logs or success of every party you join unless balance is astoundingly bad. But I’ve played both Hpal and Rdruid in +10s first two weeks of the season and the difference in ease of play between the two is staggering.
