Ultimately, the number of slots WA is allocated this FY for their 190/491 program determines how the nomination will go, as well as other states. Our state government has promised to spend a billion of our tax dollars on a third desalination plant. This is not for the benefit of the people who will pay for it. It is for foreigners at present living on other continents. We have had massive 'skilled immigration' since the Howard govt. So why do we have a skills shortage? Mass immigration has given us homelessness, fewer people able to own their own homes, and a higher proportion of GDP going to capital at the expense of the workers. When Australia had a population of 15 million, we didn't have "skills shortages". Mass immigration is ruining Australia.

I'm an international skilled worker from Nigeria with over 4 years of experience in construction I've lodged an expression of Interest(EO1) and I picked Visa 491 I'm 99% done with the application process Trying to submit, I'm told I don't have skills assessment from relevant assessing authority and that I don't have IELTS or TOEFL. These 2 English certifications are so expensive and I can't afford them for now. I'm also told if I don't provide the correct information, this may stop me from getting a Visa in the future I've got English Proficiency certificate from my school, should I go ahead and click yes? The certification I've got in my country for skills assessment is not listed, please how do I go about it? Should I blackout or there's a way out?
