Host Jennifer Vickery of ONE ONE 7 TV caught up with mega rock band SKILLET, recently at Warner Records for a sneak peak at their newest release RISE. After extensive touring behind their last album AWAKE, Skillet fans across the world have been chomping at the bit for the release of this album. We talked with the band about the meaning behind the songs, and what it really takes to put on a Skillet show. The interviewer did a good job of including all of the members by asking specific questions to each member. In most group interviews, if the interviewer asks only general questions, then one of the members inevitably ends up doing all of the talking (in Skillet's case John).

to all of their songs i fell in love with the band because of how much the songs related to me and how i felt as a person, and how i could cope with my problems. The songs "Hero, Would it Matter, Dead Inside, Whispers in the dark, awake and alive, and never surrender" were my first of many really important songs to me. Skillet has helped me with my life and reach out to different bands such as Metallica, Three Days Grace, Rise Against, and Shinedown. After their goals for teenagers i cried

1/2 Me being a teenager it was kind of weird for me NOT to like music. I never had my own style, and just went along with whatever my family had on the radio or whatever. I thought my life was horrible, i didnt know how do deal with anything, and i just hated it. Then the song "Monster" came on to the radio and i fell in love with it because i showed how much i was angry at myself and how i took it out on other people, and i just HAD to find the band that sang it, i found Skillet.
