Hi, bro, first of all, I must tell you this is the best Sinhala vlog relevant to this topic I have ever seen & the only channel I subscribed to in this curriculum. This is my first comment so the query is; My skill assessment should be done with the ACS under ANZSCO code 263111 (Computer networks and systems engineer). According to ACS, they consider two conditions 1. At least 65% of the duties and responsibilities listed in the employment reference letters must be relevant to the nominated occupation 2. At least 65% of the ICT units in your qualification must be relevant to the nominated occupation So I could definitely meet the first one. But when it comes to the second one my bachelor's degree in Software Engineering & it's not cover 65% of relevant to the nominated occupation. In this scenario can you please tell me whether my skill assessment success or not?

Hi Bro, Thanks for your comments regarding the channel. I found this on ACS site if the qualification is NOT closely related to your nominated occupation then You will require 4 years relevant work experience completed anytime in your past work history to meet the suitability criteria.

You have to go and update the EOI as soon as you got your high marks. If you are invited with your current EOI marks, then there is no point in doing pte to increase score. Increase score is required if you are not getting invited for your current score. Hope it’s clear. Let me know

I'm currently working as an Electrical Engineer and I have a electrical engineering degree. But as my first job after my graduation, I worked as a trainee engineer in a wind power plant for one year. My current total job experience is 2.5years. Is there a way/solution to count that first year as a trainee engineer to my total working experience?? TIA

Well I can’t say this for sure. But you may have a chance of getting all experience including training period under total experience. Another factor is your one year of training is a post qualification experience so that’s also positive factor. It is the case for IT in ACS Assessments. But this is at discretion Engineers Australia. You may have to do but more research on this. If you are not planning to change jobs anytime soon I suggest you get a skills assessment now you can claim increased points anyway and update EOI with higher points later without needing to get another assessment.

As long as job description elaborate all the areas required for your nominated occupation you should be ok. Some companies use weird designations but as long as the employment reference letter explain every related nominated occupation you should be alright.

But my job is only need a AQF level diploma as per the vetassess. Unfortunately after 45 no skill visa can be applied. People have a chance in temp visa like 482 but to be honest unfortunately after 45 that’s also very hard unless you get a multinational company transfer. My husband is a civil engineer, but he graduated last year end with a UK 3 year bachelor degree. But, he have already completed a HND in civil and structural Engineering in 2019 and after that he have around 4 years experience in same field. So we decided its better to apply as civil engineer Technician than Civil Engineer. My question is if he go with HND+4 years (Civil Engineer Technician) can he submit his bachelor certificates as well, can he increase his score when he submit the HND + BSc both? Thanks for your comments. Well nothing prevents him submitting bachelor degree. I understand the motive to provide bachelor degree certificate to get extra 5 points. But if you are applying as a technician I would keep it simple and get a positive assessment and try to get extra points from partner points, english etc. this is what I think and you should consult a registered migration agent for proper advice. Technicians get invitation for very low points so may b you don’t need to that extra 5 points from bachelors

Hi Yaka, Which visa you are talking about. Initially you have to submit EOI then apply for the visa. I think u meant EOI isn’t it.

Academic qualification will be enough for some occupations. But for some occupations they need a little bit of experience. I was lucky my wife was able to get the skills assessment without experience from CPA.
