Thanks for the video, trying to properly prop my boat I just put a 60hp tohatsu on. I was planning on a 11.1x15p SS. Looks like the 11.1x14 is probably my better choice.

Depends on what you want. I prefer staying in between 5200-5500 so I give up some hole shot for cruising efficiency. On my ankona cayenne with a tohatsu 60, I use 11x16 aluminum and cruise at about 37-38mph at 5200 rpm.

How much does the hull weigh. I just put a 60hp on my 18ft aluminum deep v. It’s a pretty light gauge aluminum so not a heavy boat. Just curious what speeds I can expect with the standard 12x16 prop

What are the two pee looking holes on the back of the 60? The bottom one seems to be missing a threaded piece??

Do you see any differences in running in shallow water with the long shaft on the 60 vs the short shaft on the 30?

No. The orientation depth of the motors are the same. They must be for proper operation.

Is the throttle and steering all drive by wire?

Are you happy with your jackplate, or would consider it necessary ? Also, noticed you don't have any trim tabs, you ever feel like you need them on this boat?

Yeah I'm happy I went with the bigger motor definitely better when there's more than one person on the boat and it gets better holeshot. I don't feel I need trim tabs.

Yeah the Jack plate is a must if you're doing a lot of shallow water

I'm running a skimmer 16 with a 50hp Tohatsu. right now I have the factory 3 blade on it but it is mangled. would you recommend a four blade or should I go with the 3 blade like you did with the 14 inch

What kind of fuel consumption per hr and speed you get at 3500, 4000 and 4500rpm?

Not sure I just know it's very good. I go on multiple fishing trips before I need to fill up.

Where did you get your skimmer skiff? Also, I was thinking of going with a 30HP on my build. What 4 blade prop did you use on the 30HP

From the Factory. It's been awhile so don't remember the pitch of the 4 blade but you can simply use a prop calculator online.

I ordered 2 powertech props for my 50hp on my 16. Both with a 14 pitch. Excited to see what results I’ll get. Right now I’m getting about 36mph with the stock prop maxing at 5300rpm.

You could prop it higher than 6k rpms with 1 person in the vessel. Maybe 6,200 with 1 person and you might add a couple more mph.
