Sorry to hear about your dad Ray. I lost my dad on Christmas day 1999. It's tough. Also this year I am 10 years sober. Sober life is so good. I wish I could show how good it is to everyone still using or drinking.

Sorry for your loss Doc, I appreciate you sharing to us and also sharing on your sobriety. I’m also a drywall finisher and I am in recovery also. I took my last drink on November 27, 2020 and I’m almost 3 years sober, I was blessed enough to hit my bottom and blessed with the gift of desperation to save my life. If there is one thing I can say is we are not alone, there are many in recovery who support each other’s and there is help. Recovery is a every day thing, your a blessing doc really appreciate your story and again sorry about your loss.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 2 years ago, he taught me tape and Sheetrock as a kid. I'm now 49 and still at it. I go to work with him every day now.

I box it too but i do it a little differently i do the 12box then 10 box in between the gaps then circle lights and touch up 👍👍👌😎🇨🇦🇨🇦

My condolences to you and yours. I has a question about drywall mudding sub contractors who work in houses, not new sub division. Should they be vacuuming the dust at the end or do you think that's the general contractors responsibility?

I have never vacuumed big jobs only scraped and swept . I will vacuum but at 70+ per hour.

My Mum passed 10th July 2022, her birthday is the 18th. She was a Pastor. She is in Heaven now and that gives me such great comfort. I seriouslt now stand with you in intersessory prayer for your comfort too my friend. Thank you for your knowledge. I have used your videos much in my career . In Australia it is very different how we drywall. We use base coat hot mud for 1st 2 coats then topping for 3rd. We only sand once. Glad to hear you sanded down your life and that spirit if addiction is no longer fed. God bless you brother. ❤

Dear sir, loosing someone you love is always hard, I am so sorry for your loss. Have a quick question, I had 3 skylights covered by roofers when we had a big storm last April. The only thing is that they did not cover the inside and now I have 3 holes. Had someone give me a quote for $1700 and needless to say, I cannot afford that. How can I DIY and make it look good?

I would like to add a bit someone told me soon after my dad passed, is the pain never really goes away. Like your beloved kitchen knife it will dull over time and cut less, but it will always hurt and thats ok. Living with this is part of the human experience.
