I know this video was posted several years ago and I hope and pray that this young women is still around and ok because melanoma is the deadliest skin cancer you can get! I am a senior women and have had 5 of them removed since 2017 but I have been blessed that mine had not infiltrated yet and I get checked every 5 months for a full skin check. All of my melanomas were what they call Insitu’s so no oncologist needed nor do I need lymph nodes checked. One good advise to anyone who has had or is going to have any kind of surgery is, KEEP YOUR FINGERS AWAY FROM YOUR INCISION and don’t do like Nikki did in her video, putting her fingers all over it because it can cause a very nasty infection and leave you with an ugly scar! Remember that having a tan is NOT a sign of looking healthy but instead a sign of skin damage because a tan is your skin trying to protect itself from the UVA/UVB rays and getting a tan is NOT worth your life in the end!!!

Sounds like superficial spreading melanoma. It can grow outward on the epidermis for many years before growing downward. And it is possible to have more than one melanoma and it doesn’t mean that it has spread. Was your pathology done by a dermatopathologist ? I’m glad to see you’re in better spirits.

I had a biopsy 1/15 that’s wasn’t expected at all. My mom and I just went to get the mole on my back checked. Last check was in 2015... The dermatologist unexpectedly decided to remove it and send it to be tested. No results yet. I’m anxiously waiting 🙏🙏🙏😢

I'm praying for you!! Hopefully soon you'll get a call from your nurse saying everything came back normal! I know what you're going through, twice now I've had to send off new moles and each time it's so scary.

@@nikkiboyd2055 I'm super happy it ended up being nothing. That was scary that he unexpectedly wanted to remove it to be examined though.

You are so silly lmao

I wouldn’t call it being silly, instead I called her being very young and uninformed about melanoma and its seriousness because melanoma does not respect age and it will and can kill you!
