The Paulas choice 2 percent BHA exfoliant in the extra strength version is incredible (same ingredients as the classic, lower pH). Literally transformed my rosacea skin and painful breakouts overnight.

@@folklorevermore13 yes, the blue clear extra strength. The extra strength has a lower pH value and that's what makes it stronger. The grey one doesn't work well for me, it's crazy that the extra strength has the exact same ingredients with just a lower pH and that makes a world of a difference. If I had to decide for one product only besides sunscreen it would be that.

Correction: It's AHA/BHA that is banned in Canada. Be careful with there stuff, some products are so strong. Theres a reason a few of their products are not sold here. We have the ordinary in our Sephoras just not that blood red BHA BHA, and a few others I can't remember, but a quick search would tell you.

Try hot and flashy in KZbin. Her name is Angie and her father is a chemist. She researches and tries all products and will recommend the most budget but best products. She specializes in aging skin care. Been following her for a few years now n love the outcome. My concern is for the vit C,E with ferulic acid. I’ve tried 3 different companies already because it turns yellow before I finish the bottle. Such waste! I’ve tried Timeless, Dr. Brennen( not sure of spelling) and Maelove. The 2nd one probably lasted the longest without turning yellow. Any suggestions, comments would b greatly appreciated.

Fun Fact: Paula's Choice 2% BHA is NOT a toner. It is a liquid exfoliant that is meant to come **after** toner. The bottle itself is labeled as Step 3 in a 5-step routine. (Step 1: Cleanser Step 2: Toner Step 3: Exfoliate Step 4: Treat Step 5: Moisturize) I sometimes wonder if mistaking as a toner is one of the reasons some find it too harsh to use. I personally use it after Paula's nourishing toners (fave = Pore Reducing Toner with Ceramides and Niacinamide). Helps soften the blow.
@ya.02
@ya.02 Жыл бұрын
If it’s a cleansing/ph balance toner it’s before the exfoliants but if it’s a hydrating toner like most asian brands then it’s after. I’ve been checking on this from different sites cuz I mostly use hydrating toners. Then again, my skin isn’t that sensitive when it comes to chemical exfoliants.

I have pretty good skin, so I don’t have to deal with huge breakouts and stuff like that but I legit am in love with the ordinary glycollic toner. If I have any sort of anything that takes care of it right away! Any sort of smudge your spot a one silver swipe with that and the next morning my skin is back to a porcelain perfection. And at its price point you absolutely can’t go wrong with this product. For those that are getting burned by it you have to remember to not use it on wet skin, that seems to make your face more sensitized to the glycollic acid so no slapping the sun immediately after doing a clay peel or whatever. But I use it in a spray bottle and one or two spritzers and then use a cotton pad to smooth shit around.
