Too many stupid comments. The guys in this video are super stylish skinheads. A well captured video of something truly worthwhile. Thanks for posting.

I loved watching this! Took me back to '69 - when I was 9! My sister had a really fit Skinhead boyfriend = my first crush and a love a crops! Inherited all her LPs, so by the time the revival came round in the late 70s, I had an enviable collection of ska. Loved all the gigs: Electrical B'room; Hastings w'ends, all good stuff. Wasn't quite brave enough to dye my hair, but did have a No 3 feather cut that I loved. Memories, remember, are made of this.

The fact that true skinheads (not racist) and Jamaican musicians like Laurel Aiken, the Skatalites, Desmond Dekker, Lee Perry, have worked together and made some of the best music is a blessing, and will never fade. Cheers!

This vid must be about 20 years old at least. The guy in the suit is Rob [as I remember] from Sunderland. Iconic skin [house decorated and furnished exactly as 1971] and well known and respected in the scooter scene then. Not seen him this century!

@@NORDOG10 Knew it...Bob and his brother Will....mind you Rob is a pretty cool name..... Posted this 5 min before i read your post. "Approx 4 min in mutton chops guys looks spitting image of a macum skinhead called Bob. Mind you when i knew him the mutton chops were a lil less lively. Had a bro called Will, 2 coolest skinheads i knew. Probably about 1990. Most of the skinheads i knew back then would of sooner stomped on your head...mind you i was a cheeky bastard then...and now. Class 1st song by Mr Aitken."

Vid Playlist 0:00 Laurel Aitken - Skinhead Train (sounds like "Wet Dream" Max Romeo segueing into the tune at about 1:15) The dj knows his stuff! 1:47 Cut to George Dekker - Foey Man (frikkin awesome boss poetry!) 3:38 John Holt - Ali Baba (Nursery Rhyme Skankout - wicked riddim - check out his lesser known "Time Is The Master" LP - top ranking!)

***** They are wearing Brutus, and not ben shermans, I don't think they have Royals or Ivy brogues. Prob. cheap old DR.Martins. The staypress doesn't look like levi. I came from London, and followed Chelsea everywhere, and outside of London, skinheads were not the same. They wore wrangler, cause no Levi up north, and obviously no ben shermans, two tone tonic suits,or sheepskins,or crombies. They didn't wear braces up north either. We always took our braces off, when we played in Manchester or Leeds, as they would know straightaway.I mean thin skinhead braces, not old mans braces

Skinheads appeared some 10 years before punk. Original skins listened to ska/reggae, soul and mod artists. Skinheads wore brand name clothing. Original punks were working class like skinheads, but had a "dirtier" and more shocking look, and they had more anarchist or left-wing worldview. When punk came there was a skinhead revival, and the new skinheads started listening to punk.

I am one of those people who have always associated skinheads with neo-nazism. I only really got educated on the matter last night, after watching This is England. I was thoroughly confused while watching the movie ('cause of Milky hanging with Skins). But now I know what it's all about. Still find it strange watching people I've always associated with something terrible, dancing to reggae. I love it, though. Peace and stay awesome. : D - from Denmark.

@koga9376 Boss was a word that was used by american kids and teens in the 50's, stating the mean of "Excellent" or "Outstanding" and it does not mean "The Best or Top." And as you know now many reggae bands use the word Boss stating my previous answer.
