Pretty sure this is chuck. Iykyk. Check out HPP props. Yes it’s possible and pretty sure this is nueces bay. That mud is super watery. It’s really an outboard. Seen it many times on my own boat although not for nearly as long as this.

that's got to be the best video of running skinny ever. You just took that to a whole new level!

It's a standard bf150 honda with a prop modification. Engine never over heated, I can manipulate water pressure with trim and jack plate adjustments. The key is control speed and go slow enough to collect water from the mud. Knowing your water pressure every second of a run like this.

Yes'um. I Would be willing to Put a Good size Cash Bet. This is not No Fancy prop this guy Ground by Hand. Or some other Contraption. This is Clearly a Engine called Go-Devil they are truly a great Way to get around in very very Shallow Water. Just Need to be enough to Float the Boat and your good to Go.

HPP prop early prototype. 100’s in use in Texas to Florida.

sorry to burst y'alls little bubble but it's not an airboat. He's a local fisherman here in S. Texas. Corpus area. story goes it's a Majek Redfish with an outboard motor and a custom built prop I think he ground himself. I don't know the numbers on the size of the motor or prop. He runs like this all the tome and has worn out the bottom of the boat not sure what number boat this one is and has worn out numerous props.
@djfhsbdufje6664 жыл бұрын
Sounds like its still just a story...as the story goes. Wish this could be put to rest if a video of the engine pushing this boat could be posted. We may never know the truth as to what exactly is pushing this boat in this video. It makes for some good South Texas center console lore though. Damn cool video though.
@ronjaime34934 жыл бұрын
@@djfhsbdufje666 yeah I know this legend pops up every year as new fisherman come up. I do believe it is an old RFL by the storage lids and idk if an airboat motor could be installed on an RFL. I've seen those mud buddy motors doing the same thing but idk if the RFL is too heavy for that set up so idk what it could be other than what the story I heard. Man it's just whatever you want to believe to be the truth. I had to watch it again a couple times and smh and smile since I got your notice.

Who needs an airboat? Lol.
@railbird1005 жыл бұрын
Sorry to break it to all of you deniers, this was a majek RFL with a 2005 Hinda Bf150 with standard water intakes on the gear case. I have been currently running variations of this prop for 12 years now. I have 3 partners helping me bring this very special prop to market. We are testing our latest samples this weekend and expect to get production up and running very soon.

I own a 2019 18RFL powered by an Evinrude 115 Etech...do you have a similar prop for this setup? How can I contact you?
@railbird10011 жыл бұрын
I have a water pressure gauge I monitor constantly. If pressure falls below 10 psi, I find water in prop scars and such. The mud there has lots of water in it, so the tunnel can squeeze water from the hull to the engine. I would say know your equipment. My engine has 1500 hours on it and is still going. Gotta love that Honda.
@justindriskell74523 жыл бұрын
Entirely believe this is real I run a tunnel and speed is key too fast is bad too slow is worse got to give the tunnel enough time to funnel water to the motor. And whatever you do don't stop.

Those RFLs are very nice boats. Mine would have been overheating for sure.

Likely has intake on transom, very likely.. very skinny stuff though,. envious. no low water outboard intake is propelling that.
@jkg62115 жыл бұрын
Exactly. I have dual transom mounted pick ups on my Shoalwater, and can run in this stuff all day. I rigged both pick ups with quick-removable/clean out stainless mesh filters, and keep a close eye on that water pressure gauge. lol But - it's certainly doable!

@erickg35088 жыл бұрын
he didn't and never will... he hasn't responded any question... I am pretty sure there is an airboat engine and prop in the back.

do you know who makes the prop I'm looking to buy a new prop and I duck hunt the marsh a lot of time tide how's out on me and I would love to have a prop that could jump me on a plane quicker and keep me on a plane at lower speeds any way you know the guy that made the prop on the motor ?
@jkg62116 жыл бұрын
I know this is a late reply lol, but the man you want to build your prop is Jack Forman at Crossroads Props. I have been using one of his for a few years, and it's amazing. We call them "Off Road" props.
