Very helpful thanks. I noticed you don't build a middle wooden piece to the bodies of your mountain banjos. Is there a reason for this? Is the neck attached as a single piece to the top the top section of the body?

Thank you. This is just my simplification of the foxfire banjo design. Instead of a middle ring I router out a ledge around the inside of the top plate- which serves the same purpose but requires one less piece of wood. I have the neck screwed to just the bottom plate heel on my latest mountain banjo kits.

Start a hole with a knife in the side of the can then go around it with sharp scissors
