Mad Bass fisherman myself! Enjoy your videos getting better every one you put together. Just a quick tip for the top water lures, your placement is flawless but you need to let them sit until the water rings have gone then retrieve. Be amazed how many you hits you get on the rest before retrieving.

What a magnificent stream and location but above all, what skilful angling techniques. This video shows what separates those who claim they are hard core from those who are. Persistence overcomes all…..An impressive video again Josh. Your new camera compliments your production.

Quick tip for the snake bandages and stuff. I'm first aid qualified. With a snake bite, the venom actually travels through the muscles so cutting off the circulation won't help it. The snake bandages are way better because it spreads a light tension across the whole leg not just a certain part.

Great to see you out in the bush after some bass josh it’s certainly my favourite style of fishing too one thing I recommend as far as surface lures for bass go put in a couple of pauses now and then I get most of my bass on the pause

Great quality video mate. I wouldn't use a large surface lure like that so late in the day. Normally that is something I would chuck at night. During the day I would use something like a Sammy 65 or smaller cicada and allow it to sit for a little longer before retrieving.

Hey Josh it's only me Stephen Peirson I do realise when you were casting your surface lure and when you are retrieving it back just look for your video when you were doing the imitation of a cicada on top of the water you are just wondering it a little bit too quick if you slow down your retrieve you will find that you'll have a lot more hookups as a are giving them enough time to come out of s snags and hit it I always for the it didn't make any difference with a slow retrieval fast retrieve on top of the surface but some fish are so aggressive they don't care how quick but I have increased my catch rate with a slow retrieve or when you're in strong rapid water it is hard to do a real slow retrieve but much better but I really enjoy your videos you are doing well keep them up and just give it a go and see how it works for you

@Samsteele1152 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, with the surface stuff from experience you'll get more strikes with a pause after the lure lands (they'll come check it out) followed by a slower retrieve. Basically keep the lure in the strike zone for as long as possible! As you saw, they won't often hit surface in the shallow stuff away from their snag. Real cicadas kinda just do circles and then pause.
