Skins Fire (to me) proved that Naomi and Emily's love withstood time and the only thing that could separate then was death. Exactly what everybody searches for :) It was heartbreaking but if you think about it the most beautiful love story ever.

Why do the Skins writers ALWAYS destroy the cute couples? Michelle and Tony broke up, when Jal and Chris came together, he died, the best couple ever (Freffy) ended with Freddie being murdered (like, seriously?!), Grace died in that stupid accident leaving heartbroken Rich behind and THEN they even took the last hope for the fans away by giving Naomi cancer to end Naomi's and Emily's relationship. Like, can't they let their fans be happy FOR ONCE?

Honestly didn't feel like they did the characters justice in this season. Didn't really sense the same 'skins humor' from the other season either. But visually, it was great! I just wish the storyline turned out differently for all the characters in this season.

The biggest problem about Fire is that it was supposed to tie up loose ends but it failed to do so. Really, Naomily had one of the best endings in series 4 and was completely tied up. What they should have done with Effy is show her moving on from her depression and should have mentioned freddie since we never saw her reaction to his death. Instead they gave them both rushed plots that lead to really no actual conclusion and ends were left loose.

I agree with you on that point. People shouldn't hate on the skins team just because a character got killed, that's tv and life for you. I guess it just depends where you look on the internet as people's opinions always vary. As a person who one of my favourite character's was Naomi, I would have been okay with her death it was handled better (specifically the pace of it and the whole episode)

A lot of people aren't upset that a character they loved died. People are angry because the storyline was rushed with plot holes through out, and it didn't really serve any purpose apart from life can be crap, which could have been achieved in other ways without using naomi as a prop device. Also the main issue is the fact that it left it on an even massive cliffhanger then skins season 4 did, when the fans were lead to believe that they were tying up the loose ends of these characters story's

Everyone is upset and calling the show bad because their favorite characters didn't get some fairy tale happily ever after. I don't understand why everyone is so surprised. Is fucking Skins. Nothing ever ends completely happily. Naomily is my favorite couple of any tv show, book, movie, anime, manga, etc that I have ever come across, but even if Naomi was terminally ill in the end, I'm still not going to say the writers did a bad job.

Why are people so discontent with Skins Fire? It wasn't any more ridiculous than Freddie's death.It is quite often done that not all plots are taken to an end and that's alright, because what the screenwriters want is to convey the message rather than answer all the possible doubts that might have emerged. They managed to show beautifully the protagonists' growing realisation of the fineness of their lives.

I love Kat and Lily and I cannot describe how happy I was to see them work together again but I wish they had left Naomily the way it was, I don't get why the writers thought it'd be a good idea to bring them back to end them like that, it was completely unnecessary and cruel and the way they've been responding to fans afterwards is what upsets me more, the writers don't care about the fans at all, the only good thing about this series was the amazing performances by Kaya, Lily and Kat.

Is no one going to talk about some of the plot holes in skins fire. I mean in part 1 emily and naomi fight because naomi didn't skype her on time, yet we're meant to believe with her hospital visits and being so sick, she was still able to skype emily all the time. And importantly, don't you think emily might question naomi about always wearing hats/about her hair? I mean you'd think she would have noticed something was up, it was quite obvious that she looked ill.

Skins Fire part 2 was such a let down not even beacause of Naomi but it didn't feel like a conclusion like it felt like there was going to be another episode after that. I didn't want a cliffhanger type of episode. I wanted it to feel like we finally finished Effy's story and how much she has grown up.

That is a great and relavant point, but if you look at what people are saying; look in the Naomily and Skins tags on Tumblr, all you see is people who are pissy because their favorite character/couple got screwed, not because their was a flaw in the actual story. Its just a "wah,I didn't get what I want, Skins is stupid" type of deal.

I loved Skins Fire but I hated it at the same time. Because of the way Effy ended it with her signature smile. like, she's going to jail XD and she knows it but she's okay. The only other character I would've liked to see back would be Panda because she was Effy's best friend and they had been together for a long time to begin with. But it's all so hard to deal with because that's it. There's just no more for them.
