The Arcane version didn't fit champion standarts so they had to do lot of adjustments until it wasn't him anymore. At this time, they decided to create a new character. If Renata became Silco, he wouldn't be the person we love from Arcane. I am happy with the decision.

So for those confused there’s three different Jinxes here. Menace Form is Jinx during in act 1 of season 2. Tinkerer form is Jinx in the au timeline we see in episode 7 of season 2, where Vi dies during the heist and the undercity works with Piltover to create a peaceful world. Hero form is Jinx after Ekko talks her out suicide and convinces her to help people.

Game encompasses champions from different Runeterra timelines. Mord is no really alive, but we play him in the game. Gangplank is dead for good, but yet we play him in the game. Current in game Miss Fortune, who is a captain, only became after Ganglpank's death. LoL is not a source of lore anymore. New media department that Riot created is. All those shows and books that will follow will shape the canon of the Runeterra. Now game will just follow up on what that department does. And it is good. Previously LoL was full of different champions with interesting backstory, but full of contradictions and weak connection to the world of Runeterra as a whole. At least good 70% of champions that is. Now Riot's lore/media department will slowly fix all this and new champions will be released with current canon in mind.

Sarah Anne Williams has been voicing Jinx since the character's inception back in October 2013 (11 years). She voiced her special Star Guardian VO as well and I was disappointed when she wasn't cast as Powder/Jinx in Arcane. However, Ella Purnell absolutely KILLED it on the TV show and it sounds like Sarah is trying her best to sound like the manic fun-loving psycho terrorist we all know and love that she started as mixed with the tragic raspy, pathos that Ella's take on the character brought to the TV series. She sounds more mature as a result than either her original take on the voice and her more bratty, high school tsundere take she did for Star Guardian Jinx. I think Sarah largely succeeds as the VO for all three versions of the character is great and captures the spirit of LoL Jinx and Arcane Jinx in equal measure. That being said, the skin itself is nowhere near worth $250.

Honestly i’m relieved personally they’re not gonna replace the og voices, lot of people claim it’s for “time reason” but there isn’t really any reason for riot to not have scheduled her to voice the skin lines with the series it’s not like these things are scheduled in short notice.
